Sensational Sirloin Kabobs

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2012
Very good recipe. I prefer a little stronger flavor so next time I think I'm going to try adding some fresh garlic and a pinch of crushed red pepper to the mix.

Golden Granola

Reviewed: May 30, 2012
This granola is so easy and equally as delicious! This will be my go-to recipe from now on. I do prefer my granola a bit on the drier side, so I add an additional 10-15 minutes of baking time.

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: May 16, 2012
I love this recipe. In the past, I've had problems with banana bread not rising fully in the middle, despite being overly done in the remaining parts. I no longer have that problem with this bread. It has a good banana flavor, not too powerful, but not whimpy and lacking either. I consider this my new "go-to" recipe when it comes to banana bread. I simple strusel topping sends it over the edge too.

Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
Even though I'm a lover of coconut flavor, but not the texture, I was entrusted to make this beloved family favorite dessert. I followed the directions to a T and everyone raved about how this reminded them of Grandma's coconut cream pie. Being able to live up to Grandma's pie with this recipe is the ultimate compliment, cause let's face it, not much competes with anything Grandma's make!

Monkey Bread Muffins

Reviewed: May 16, 2010
These were excellent and super easy to throw together. This recipe makes it easier to serve a small crowd without breaking out the bundt pan. If you're like me and didn't have apple pie spice on hand, you can use the following measurements to arrive at the total of 1 tsp apple pie spice: 1/8 tsp ground ginger, 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg, heaping 1/8 tsp ground allspice and 3/4 tsp ground cinnamon. This recipe will be added to my recipe box for sure!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2009
Not that this recipe which has already received rave reviews needs it, but I'll add one more. This incredibly moist, easy to throw-together bread is perfect for a cool fall day. I make mini-loaves to give away as presents to the neighbors, teachers, co-workers and really anyone who will take one. My toddler really enjoys this, as does the hubby.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
Very good, easy to throw together soup. I had made a spiral ham for dinner the night before and was looking for a recipe that I could use the leftover ham in. Even my husband, who is not a soup lover devoured a bowl. Topped with a little shredded cheddar cheese and homemade croutons, delicious!

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
I made this for a family dinner, and even my brother-in-law the self proclaimed chef loved them! They have a nice flavor and are quick and easy. I found that no additional salt was needed with the flavor of the romano cheese. I only used 1 and a 1/2 sticks of butter. Next time I think I will add a few tablespoons of milk or cream to make them a little creamier. But over all, this one will be going in the recipe box.

Meatball Sandwich

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2009
These were very tasty subs. I had never had a meatball sub before. I'm glad I found this recipe. Even my toddler gobbled it up. Thanks for sharing. I made the meatballs in advance and froze them for a later dinner. The night before I was ready to use them, I just pulled them out to defrost and then finished the recipe as directed.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2009
These are perfect! If you're making them ahead of time, I flash froze the unbaked rolls individually on a cookie sheet. Then when my family wants cinnamon rolls, I just put however many we need into a greased baking pan, cover with greased plastic wrap and leave out on the counter overnight. Come morning, the deliciously plump rolls are ready to be baked per the directions. The frosting also freezes nicely too. I double the frosting and then seperate into 2 ziplocs. To make frosting the finished rolls easy, simply snip off a corner of the ziploc bag and squeeze the frosting out. Simple and no mess!

Rach's Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: May 16, 2009
This recipe was really easy to throw together with ingredients that I already had on hand. It was very creamy and tasted great. I loved the Ritz on top - gave it a nice crust. I made a 9 x 13 pan, but if you had a smaller crowd, you could easily split into two 8 x 8 pans and freeze one for a later time. My toddler coulnd't get enough of this great casserole!

French Bread

Reviewed: May 4, 2009
Thank you so much for sharing! The whole family loved this recipe. I was going to use 1 loaf with dinner and freeze the other, but....the second one didn't make it that long! I used other reviewers suggestions about the ice cubes and they were right - make a nice crust on the outside while still preserving a nice soft inside. I will be making this many, many more times. This one will definitely be added to the "keepers" recipe box!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2009
The only thing I would change about this recipe....making a double batch, because these babies don't last long! Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing. This truly is the only Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe that I will keep in my recipe box.

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2009
This ziti was excellent! My husband doesn't tolerate Ricotta cheese very well, so I was thrilled to find this recipe! I will definitely make it again. If cooking for a few people, I would recommend making 2 smaller pans and freezing one to use at a later date.

Grilled Peaches and Cream

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2008
Grilling the peaches makes the skin soft and it just peals off. I didn't have any cream cheese on hand, so I topped my grilled peaches with a sprinkle of sugar and cinnamon and then topped with frozen Cool Whip. Very good. A nice finish to a cool autumn night!

Beer Cheese Dip II

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2008
I brought this dip to a food day at work and it got rave reviews. Several people even asked for the recipe. I microwaved the dip as several other reviews suggested and it turned out great. Without microwaving it, it was kind of lumpy, but after it turned out nice and creamy. I served with beer bread, but would be equally delicious on pita chips or crackers.

Best Ever Pie Crust

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2007
This recipe was a life saver at Thanksgiving! My sister was in charge of making the pie crusts, and she swore that she remembered how Grandama used to make them. Good thing I had printed this recipe off months earlier. It saved us from having to go buy a box of pie crusts. I think this recipe was even better than grandma's and turned out so light and fluffy. Thanks so much for sharing!!

Cinnamon-Roasted Almonds

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
These almonds were delicious. Just like the ones that they make in the mall around the Holidays. I like mine a little drier, so I let them go an additional 10-15 minutes longer than the hour recommended, and they turned out great. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe!

Red Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2007
The enchiladas that my family has always made have been made with a white sauce. My husband is not a big fan of the white sauce, so I had been looking for a good red sauce to try. I found it!! I didn't tell him about it, but when I made the enchilads using the sauce, he raved about them for days! He even took some over to the neighbors to eat, because he said that they were too good not to share. To this day, he gets excited when he knows that we're having enchiladas for dinner. I added a little more water to my batch though, as it tasted a little too tomatoey to me and I like a little runnier consistenancy.

Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2007
This ice cream was excellent! It received rave reviews from all of my family! The recipe didn't lie when it says that this ice cream is very rich - a little goes a long way! I refridgerated the peanut butter cups for about a half an hour before cutting them up, so that the chocolate didn't melt as much.
