Extreme Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2014
The very first time I made this cake, it came out SOO very moist. The only change I made was instead of using 1 cup of boiling water, I used 1 cup fresh brewed strong coffee. It added a flavor to the chocolate that my dinner party enjoyed a lot. By the end of the night, there was only a few slices left. Thanks for this addition (and staple) to my dessert collection!

Florida Key Lime Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2010
I personally am not one for tart disserts, but I have to say this no-bake Key Lime pie was AMAZING!! I made this for a friend's birthday and both he and my husband said it was better than anything found in a restaurant that they have had. I did not make the topping that is included in this recipe however as it sounded too easy to mess up. Instead I made a Sturdy Whipped Cream Frosting submitted by Jo-Lynn. When I made the alt topping to top the Key Lime Pie I also squeezed 2 key limes (about 1 tsp) into the frosting and it was simply amazing! Yes this pie may seem like and taste like a cross between a pie and cheese cake, but that was part of the attraction to try it was the extra creamy texture allure! You will not regret making this if you like Key Lime pie!!

Sturdy Whipped Cream Frosting

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2010
I made this to top the Florida Key Lime Pie submitted by Marion McWhorter for a friend's birthday. I was very impressed with how easy this frosting was to make and that it was not overly sweet like most cream frostings are. To me this is a cross between a cream cheese frosting and actual whipped cream. When I made this to top the Key Lime Pie I also squeezed 2 key limes (about 1 tsp) into the frosting and it was simply amazing! Both my husband and the friend for whom I made this for said it was better than any resteraunt version they have ever had!

Mom's Good Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2006
My husband made cinnamon rolls from this recipe but rolled out one log instead of individuals. We also added brown sugar to the middle filling. However, I'm not sure how he did it but we got 24 rolls using the original yielding recipe and after rising twice for about an hour each the rolls were already larger than the palm of his hand. Once they were put in the oven they still doubled again in size. Suffice it to say, these cinnamon rolls are HUGE and VERY delicious! This is one recipe I will use again and again and even pass along to my friends and family. :)
