This bread is great! I made it by hand, the 'old fashioned' way, and it turned out perfect. I brushed with egg white instead of yoke, that is the only step I did differently. We loved it and it's a keeper in our house. I won't be buying french bread from anywhere since this is so easy and delicious. FAST PREP: I did make this once skipping one of the rising times. After preparing the dough I immediately shaped the bread, put in on the baking sheet and let it rise in the oven for 40 minutes then baked it and the results where amazing! This is a good method to use if you are in a hurry.
