Zucchini Brownies

Reviewed: May 19, 2013
I have made these several times. the original recipe is a five star recipe. I have also substituted applesauce for the oil or use coconut oil (my personal favorite) and still loved them.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2012
Great soup! I also threw in uncooked chicken and shredded it the last hour. Black beans are a must, too.

Chocolate Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2012
Great recipe! I'm giving it five stars because of ease, cost and taste. I used half milk and water for a richer flavor. I won't be buying from the store again. There is no need to when this tastes much better and it's cheap.

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2012
This is a great basic recipe. Variations to consider: apple cinnamon, coconut, peach, and even cranberry. If I want it as a dessert I made a heavy cream sauce to go with it from another pudding recipe.

Pasta with Peas and Sausage

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2011
This recipe is a very basic, but great dish that can be thrown together very quickly. I have had this recipe as is, but my preference is with just a little more flavor so I add some Emeril Original essence seasoning and use chicken sausage. There are so many variations to this recipe. It's a keeper.

Almond Streusel-Cherry Cheesecake Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2011
These bars are very easy to make and come out fantastic! I made them for a dinner party and everyone loved them. I didn't have almonds so I used pecans and it turned out just great that way too. I can foresee making a blueberry or Apple variation in the future.

Kettle Corn

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2011
I made the recipe as is and it was good, just as easy as I thought. Then I made a second with some salt and I liked it better. The sweet and salty combination is my favorite. This recipe is a keeper!

French Baguettes

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2011
This bread is great! I made it by hand, the 'old fashioned' way, and it turned out perfect. I brushed with egg white instead of yoke, that is the only step I did differently. We loved it and it's a keeper in our house. I won't be buying french bread from anywhere since this is so easy and delicious. FAST PREP: I did make this once skipping one of the rising times. After preparing the dough I immediately shaped the bread, put in on the baking sheet and let it rise in the oven for 40 minutes then baked it and the results where amazing! This is a good method to use if you are in a hurry.

Easy Apple Coleslaw

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2011
PERFECTION! The flavor is to die for. I didn't have the peppers or onions but wow, the best I have ever had. I really like the apples - they added so much. And it's best to let it sit and chill for at least an hour before serving. Yummers!! My husband said it was the best he has ever had. This recipe is a KEEPER!! I

Finnish Pulla

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2011
I don't have anything to compare this to, and I have never had it before but I was very pleased with the results. I doubled the cardamon because it is such a wonderful spice and it still was very subtle in the bread. As another suggested, I topped with a glaze flavored with almond extract and then topped with slivered almonds.

Mama's Asian Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2011
This recipe was very good. I am a ginger lover so I upped the ginger and used honey, not sugar and it was fabulous. Definitely needed some corn starch to thicken the sauce. Keeper!

Barbie's Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2011
This is really quite good, and much better than the standard tuna salad everyone grew up with. I tried greek yogurt in place of the mayo and it was great!

No Fail Pound Cake

This is a great basic recipe using a boxed cake mix. I used a German Chocolate cake mix and then added half a tub of German Chocolate frosting to the mix and it was heavenly!

GREAT STUFF! It started as fondue for a party and ended up in lasagna the next day in place of ricotta cheese.

Waffles I

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2011
These are great waffles. I made sure to beat the eggs on high with my hand mixer for at least three minutes to ensure the eggs were very fluffy before adding in the rest of the ingredients. I like my waffles sweet so I added more sugar and put in cinnamon and almond extract. This recipe is a keeper.

Creamy Hot Cocoa

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
I'll never go back to mix again. This recipe is amazing. I have used half and half, none at all, or evaporated milk and every version is simply amazing. I love to add cinnamon at the very end for some flavor. Like other reviewers this is a sweet hot cocoa and going down to 1/2 cup sugar won't hurt at all. The first time I made it I used 5 cups of milk with the 3/4 c sugar and it was still sweet, but still simply the best ever.

Buttery Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2010
MADE BY HAND because my KichenAid broke. These were easy, easy, easy and so delicious! I only used about 3 3/4 c flour and used 1 TBSP of yeast. Great rolls! This is my new favorite that I will use from now on.
