Buttercream Icing

Reviewed: May 3, 2011
Used all butter since that's all I had, 2% milk and almond extract instead of vanilla. Soooo yummy! Perfect for frosting the White Almond Wedding Cake from this site.

White Almond Wedding Cake

Reviewed: May 3, 2011
Great moist cake! First time ever my cake came out perfect! Only changes I made were: sifted all dry ingredients together, lightly beat all wet ingredients before adding to dry, and baked in two 8 inch round cake pans and it took 49 mins to bake. Will be making this cake again for my son's 1st birthday! Frosted with homemade buttercream icing too. Delish!

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2008
Love this recipe! I made this for dinner last night, but used chicken drumsticks i had in the freezer. I par-boiled the skinless drumsticks in salt water first, drained, then simmered for about 10 mins with the sauce. I doubled the sauce recipe but kept the same amounts of hot sauce and soy sauce. It was perfect!!! Just spicy enough (though my husband said it was really spice) and sweet and sticky. I served it on jasmine rice with steamed broccoli on the side. Thanks for a great recipe!!! *** I also used ground ginger and garlic powder instead of fresh ***

The BEST ever soft ginger cookies! I get requests to make these from my family and friends all the time! I add a little more ground ginger to the recipe whenever we're looking for more bite!

Ann's Shrimp Etouffee

This was a good recipe...I didn't have mushrooms and I added a lot of red pepper flakes so it was SUPER spicy! But very good!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2008
I made this for dinner last night and it was great! I did season the fish before broiling it with a little salt, pepper, garlic powder, and a bit of lemon pepper. It was very flavorful! (I added a bit too much Parmesan so the topping melted and looked messy, but I served it over steamed jasmine rice and it was wonderful). My husband, who usually doesn't like Parmesan cheese, really enjoyed the fish!

great, simple recipe...ended up with super soft cookies! i may lower the amount of sugar next time though...the cookies were a bit too sweet for my tastes. also, next time, i'll add some nutmeg and ginger to try a spicy cookie variation!
