Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2012
AMAZING!!!! I found this recipe about 2 weeks ago,and I think I've already had this salad 8 times. I followed the recipe exactly, but also added blue cheese. For convenience ( since i have it practically every day), I make the dressing for the serving 8, put in the fridge, toast about 2 cups of almonds and keep in a container so when i need to make the salad all i do is assemble and eat at any time. Brought some for coworkers to try today and had to print 6 copies of the recipe!!

Rich and Simple French Onion Soup

This was absolutely amazing. And so so simple. I left out the sherry since I didn't have any ( but will make again with it) and use Gryuere cheese with parmesan. DELICIOUS!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2008
These were the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever made. I did not change a single thing from the original recipe and they came out perfect. Everyone loved them. Next time though, I might try it with some of the changes other reviewers suggested, adding 1 tsp vanilla and 1 tsp baking powder and I will try and bake them for 8-10 minutes instead of 12 just to see if they turn out even better. But even as is,they were fantastic.

Strawberry Spinach Salad I

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2007
WOW! I would give this 10 stars if I could. SO so so good. I made this last night, and I'm already getting asked to make it again. But I might reduce the amount of sugar next time. Still I loved this! I will make it again and again ..UPDATE: I just made this again for a large gathering and it was the talk of night! Everyone raved and asked for the recipe. A must try!

Ultimate Twice Baked Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2007
These were very good but I'll try them again with a few adjustments next time like less onions ( I thought the onions overpowered everything else) less sour cream and bake the potatoes a little longer ( my peels did not stay intact). But like others have said, all this depends on the size of your potatoes, you adjust it according to that.

Artichoke Spinach Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2007
This dish was delicious and full of flavour. Although it was a little too runny for me and sloppy to serve. Next time, I will reduce the amount of broth and double the cheese and maybe add some ricotta in the mixture. Everyone loved it though.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2007
I only had 2 cups of mashed bananas and substituted half margarine and half shortening for the butter ( was all I had so I just crossed my fingers) it turned out EXCELLENT. And this was my first time making banana bread, will not try another recipe but maybe get the ingredients right next time and I'd like to try it with the spices the other reviewers suggested.

Best Peanut Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2007
Very good. And simple! I didn't have any hot sauce so I used chilli powder like someone suggested and used powdered garlic instead of a clove. Turned out great. At first I thought 1/2 cup of water wasn't enough because I saw the sauce being kinda of thick so I added some more water but then regretted it..sauce taste better thick. But I don't mind at all, this sauce was so easy to make, I can make it again in 2 minutes!

Delicious. I didn't have basil or celery salted so I omitted them, but it was still excellent.

Real Poutine

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2006
If you've never tried ( or even heard of) poutine before. TRY THIS RECIPE. I live in Quebec and eat this very very often. So much that I get made fun of. I make it at home with frozen french fries but after trying it with homemade ones, I'll probably continue this way.

Million Dollar Fudge

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2006
Excellent! I looked everywhere for "marshmallow creme" but for some reason I don't think it's available in Canada (If I'm wrong, please correct me) so I substituted it with miniature marsmallows. Squares turned out delicious.

Apple Pie I

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2006
For my first time making pie from scratch it turned out very good. It was very watery like everyone else stated but I didn't mind. I forgot to add the butter at the last layer, it still turned out fine. I made the crust from a recipe on this site( Pastry for single-crust pie) and it was very good.
