Easy Tuna Casserole

Not bad! Used Mozza, cream of mushroom, peas and spices. Didn't have french fried onions. I'm French, so I fried my own in garlic butter(lol). Did need extra milk. Reviews helped. Yummy! Definitely make it again.

Homemade Mac and Cheese

Personally, I don't like cheddar. I used old white cheddar in this recipe and mixed with the parmesean, I thought the flavor was good. I got ahead of myself and added the milk quickly to the roux. I wonder if that's why the dish wasn't creamy. The cheese separated from the macaroni. I will try it again, this time without breadcrumbs and with some seasoning.

Turkey a la Matt

I was looking for a way to use up the leftover Xmas turkey. This definitely helped. I made adjustments also. I used two cans of cream of mushroom, green beans instead of peas, and sprinkled shredded mozzarella over the cream mixture just before I added crushed Ritz crackers. Loved it. Will make it again and again.

Biscuit-Topped Creamed Ham

I'm always looking for something to spice up dinner. This did it! I didn't have green pepper, cheddar, cream of chicken soup or pimientos. And, after reading the previous review, I decided to add a little flavor that I would like. I used cream of mushroom soup, red pepper and mozzarella for the ingredients that I didn't have, then I added a dash of sea salt, pepper and garlic powder for flavor and peas for added texture. I'll make this again and I'll keep playing with it.

Pioneer Cut Dumplings from the 1800's

Perhaps being from the north is the reason I don't like this recipe. I tried it because it seems really easy and from scratch, but neither my husband nor me liked it. We grew up with dumplings being light and fluffy. These dumplings are heavy and tastless. Maybe I didn't let them dry enough. How dry do they have to be? I wonder if adding baking powder would help them rise.Would this give them the fluffy texture and help them to take on the flavor of the stew? If anyone tries it, please post the results.
