Amazing Banana Sorbet

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2011
I was amazed how creamy this turned out. I used an ice cream maker and it worked well. Hard to believe that 3 ingredients can make such a great dessert.

This was so simple and tasted really fancy. Just be sure and have lots of bread to get all of the juices.

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2011
I found myself baking a few extra potatoes just so I could have this soup. I add canned clams to make clam chowder. My husband says this is better than the kind we get at our favorite restaurant. I dash of cream sherry on the top is a great addition.

Split Pea Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2011
This is really good. I don't always have a ham bone handy but I usually have some large pieces of ham in the freezer left over from a holiday meal. That works just as well as the ham bone.

Doris's Shrimp Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2011
This is so good and versatile. I ate it by itself. I ate it on salad greens. My favorite use was as a topping for french bread with cheddar cheese on top and broiled. Just like in some fancy restaurant.

Gyoza

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2011
I thought that with so few ingredients there was no way these could be good. I was surprised. The addition of the sesame oil makes all the difference. I froze a whole bunch of of them so I can have them whenever. I found that cooking them in peanut oil was a good idea after I set off the fire alarm. Also be sure and have the cover to the ready to immediately put it on top.

Key Lime Pie VII

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2011
I was very surprised that the addition of the sour cream made it creamy and dense. I do use bottled key lime juice because fresh is not available where I live.

This is a super easy, goof proof recipe. It always turns out right. That is saying something from a person who normally makes dry loaves of banana bread.

Blueberry Zucchini Bread

What is not to like? The bread itself has a great cinnamon taste. I made it in to reg. loaf pans and simply adjusted the cooking time a bit.
