Moist and Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2007
This turned out to be a really great cookie! I followed the recipe, but i did add alittle more PB like others had advised about 3/4 cup total. I also cooked them at about 350 which browned the tops and bottoms lightly and left the centers still chewy! The best PB cookies i have ever made, thanks for the recipe!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2006
THIS WAS SUCH AN EASY RECIPE!!! THE BEST COOKIES I HAVE EVER HAD BY FAR! I ADDED ALITTLE MORE BROWN SUGAR FOR A VERY SOFT, PERFECT LOOKING AND TASTING COOKIE! THE BATTER WASN'T VERY RUNNY SO THE COOKIES KEPT THERE SHAPE WHILE COOKING AND THE BEST THING IS THE BOTTOMS DIDNT BURN WHICH TENDS TO HAPPEN WHEN THE RECIPE IS TOO WATERY. YOU CAN REALLY PLAY AROUND WITH THESE AND MAKE THEM YOUR OWN! I HAVE FINALLY FOUND MY CHRISTMAS COOKIE RECIPE! THANKS

Filipino Lumpia

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2007
These were super easy to make, i used extra lean beef with carrots and celery. I also added alittle ginger. Turned out great, just make sure you keep the spring roll shells moist or you'll have a hard time folding!( found out the hard way) I also didnt use that much oil for cooking, alittle goes along way for a less greasy roll. I will make again!

Chocolate Chip Pancakes

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2007
This is a great pancake mix! Very easy to make in the morning when the kids are circling. Really different flavor then a box mix. I did add some vanilla when i didnt have any fruit/choc and it gives a nice simple taste. i Also added some brown sugar since i dont give my kids syrup and it makes them really sweet, and NO sticky mess! Great recipe, will use again! thanks

Home-Style Yeast Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2008
This was by far the best bread i have ever had or tasted in years. I have never finished one before due to them always becoming hard, not rising etc.. but this bread was soo perfect and really easy to make. Followed the directions to a "T", let it rise then rise again and i came out like the ones you see in MAG's. thanks for this, it really made my day. Will make again and again!

Cake Mixes from Scratch and Variations

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2008
This was a great!! I made cupcakes out of this yellow cake mix and it was wonderful, not sure why everyones having a problem. i followed the directions perfectly with just alittle extra milk(since it was just a tad to thick). It almost looked like a cookie mix but with alittle more milk it turned thinner . I baked them at 350 for about 10 mins, just let them lightly brown, any longer and they will become hard. Make sure you take them out of the pan as soon as possible to avoid any further cooking. Perfect Cupcakes, nice firm tops and soft middles! thanks for the recipe!

Not sure what everyones problem is with this recipe, its just plain simple. Follow the directions, use the correct flour and bake. Came out perfect, watch the shorting since if you add too much it will be super moist and soft!!!(don't talk on the phone while measuring) ha-ha thanks for the quick recipe. Add buttercream frosting and you have one perfect cake!

Apple Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2008
Thes muffins are great! DO need to know what size can of pumpkin to use since they come in different sizes and I used the BIG can and had to add some more flour and BS. Ha-ha. Great taste, i used applesauce instead of the oil and wheat flour instead of white. Also added alittle nutmeg and some vanilla. Will make again! thanks

Garlic Ranch Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2008
This was good but you really had to let the ranch dressing mix with the chicken before grilling or baking. I used light ranch instead of fat free and added alittle more spices for a stronger flavor. You can also use the dry dressing mixes( hidden valley) in this recipe and on turkey burgers as well. will make again

Cheesy Baked Eggplant

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2007
This was really good, but way to much cheese is used in this so to actually keep this a healthy dish i only used a half a cup of the motts/parm cheese combined thats it.I also went ahead and cooked the eggplant alittle longer then recomended.Watch out if your adding garlic salt(instead of the cloves) and parm cheese since it can tend to be really salty in taste. Over all it was a really good dish with lots of flavor!! will make again! thanks

Smothered Green Beans

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2008
This was a really great recipe, lots of flavor the longer you let the beans simmer with the onions. I did make one change, i used turkey bacon instead of regular bacon. Tasted really nice and kept this dish pretty healthy. You dont have as much grease as you would with regular bacon, so you still could taste the flavor of the beans. Thanks will used again!
