Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2006
This was huge success, really! I'll be making it as a gift for a relative tomorrow! It's super yummy, delicious! I lvoe this recipe because it was relatively easy. I put about 3/4 of the caramel inside the pie and the rest on top of the lattice crust. An advice is to work with the caramel while it's still hot!

Blonde Brownies I

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2006
I made these yesterday afternoon and it was fast and easy. They disappeared in less than an hour amazing! I made it in a small round glass pie pan, used only brown sugar. First it seemed a bit un- brownish to me, since it was more of a dough, not too liquid. I just distributed evenly on the pan and the result was great! It did have a brownie texture.

Popovers

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2006
Mmm... I'm not too sure what it was that wasn't right. I followed the instructions perfectly and they got too brown too fast and it was still raw in the middle. I don't think I would make them again, I think maybe the temperature is too high.

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2006
I loved it! I just finished baking them and they were the hugest success at home! The dough was sooo easy to handle,I think you should knead it for more than 5 min, more like 10. Cutting it wasn't any trouble at all, I just used a really, really sharp brand new knife. I actually left them ready in the fridge overnight, woke up at 7am and let them rise at room temperature for 30-45 minutes before baking them at 375 F for 25 minutes. They started browning at abou 20 min but since they were so huge they sticked together and the sides were still a bit raw. I thought they wouldn't rise anymore but as soon as they got in the oven they became HUGE! I think next time I'll use 2 9 X 12 inches pans. Oh and by the way, they're great just as they are, no need for some frosting or anything, they're sweet enough! I read all the reviews and used butter for the filling and I doubled the amount of cinnamon (2 tablespoons) They're truly magnificent!

Butter Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2006
I love this recipe! So simple yet so good. It was one of the first times I ever made a pie crust from scratch and it turned out great. Flaky and yummy. I followed the how to make a pie crust step-by-step guide together with this recipe and even though it looked a bit too butter-ish first, I let it rest for 4 hours in the fridge and when I got it out it was Heaven. Really use to work with, I didn't have to do much! I tried to handle it as little as possible!

This is a great recipe! It looked so easy I thought I'd give it a try and it was the first time I ever made a quiche and it turned out perfect! I made a few changes but I basically followed the instructions. It was a huge success at my house.

Indian Chapati Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2006
I did these tonight and they're excellent! They are great with some chicken curry! It's such an easy and good recipe my family's addicted to this bread by now. I find it's absolutely necessary to let the dough rest for about 30-45min. because by then it will be soft, easy to handle and it will cook perfectly and form little bubbles as soon as you put it on the heat.
