Husband loved it and he's from Africa. Added cayenne to taste and a tablespoon of light brown sugar.

Flourless Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2007
Excellent. Chocolate overload. I didn't have time to chill it overnight so I stuck it in the freezer for an hour. It didn't set up completely and so tasted like a decadent chocolate mousse pie. The guests loved it. A little definitely goes a long way.

Cranberry Pistachio Biscotti

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2007
It tastes good, and I'd make it again, but in my opinion it's more of a cookie than a biscotti. The dough is VERY sticky and spread a bit too much so that when we cut them they were flatter and not really 'biscotti' shaped. But yummy.

Szechwan Shrimp

Reviewed: May 31, 2007
Yummy! My husband and sister ate this up. It's a healthy, easy, quick dish with tons of flavor. I made it as written and served it over brown rice. I will be adding veggies next time.

Ricardo's Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2007
Excellent Pizza Crust, and usually turns out perfect, but I have messed it up once. I was in a hurry to leave the house and only had half the amount of bread flour needed, so I used half bread flour and half unbleached white flour, and added the herbs in right away instead of waiting until after the first rising. I'm not sure which of those changes did it, but it turned into a messy gooey disaster that I had to trash. Thankfully I had time to make it again as directed and it turned out exactly right.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2007
Weekly favorite. The sauce goes on top of mine, and I put a couple dashes of barbeque sauce into the meat mixture for some added depth. I also make two and freeze one without the sauce for later.

Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2007
Wow. This is my current favorite salad. I substitute toasted pine nuts for the other nuts, red onion for the onion, and olive oil for the vegetable oil. Everyone loves it.
