Dump Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2007
Excellent brownie recipe, easy and comes out perfect every time! I usually put in a few extra chips because we are choco-holics. I like to double this recipe and when the brownies are cooled, I cut them up and put in the freezer. They are actually quite good straight from the freezer, or microwaved if you like them warm. Makes a good lunchbox treat too.

Baptist Grasshopper Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2007
This recipe was 5 star with the modifications I used as follows: I used chocolate cookie crusts instead of graham. I crumbled up 1/2 box of choc/mint grasshopper cookies (Girl Scout thin mints would work great also!). i spread hot fudge sauce on the empty pie shell and added some cookie crumbs there, then added the minty cream, and finally completely covered the top of the pie with the crumb topping. It was delicious!!

heavenly when the mangos are just ripe. I also added sweet red pepper strips to this salad.

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2012
This made an exceptional dough. I have also enjoyed it as a cinnamon roll dough base - I put some (1 tsp?) cardamom in the dough and rolled it out in a long rectangle, then put the softened butter and cinnamon-sugar on it before rolling it jelly-roll style and cutting into 1" cinnamon rolls. Heavenly? Either way, make sure you give this dough ample to rise - it is a heavy dough and takes more time. You can make these crescent rolls or cinnamon rolls ahead by putting the rolls very closely on a cookie sheet or 9x13 pan, and then freezing them overnight. At this point you can take them off the pans and put them into ziplocs in the freezer. When you are ready to use them, put them back on cookie sheets in the evening, cover with lint-free baking towels, and they will be ready to bake the morning!
