About this Cook
I am just learning how to cook and I am loving every minute of it. If I cook something and it comes out wrong, I do it again and again until I get it right. Just this morning I made three fried eggs on toast trying to perfect my teqnique. I was very happy with the outcome...and very full...don't know when I will be able to eat eggs again...lol
My favorite things to cook
Boston cream pie! Key lime pie, brownies, pot roast, fried eggs in toast, cookies, stir fry, fried rice, hamburgers, chicken salad, om my gosh, I guess a little of everything! I will cook anything you can teach me how!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom taught me a really cool way to make pb&j! I also like using my grandmother's recipe for vegatable soup.
My cooking triumphs
I messed up terribly on a boston cream pie and turned it into the most delicious (and fattening) banana bread you have ever tasted! (does that count as a triumph?) lol
My cooking tragedies
August 17, 2006. Stir fry. It was a sad sad day. I attempted to make pork and vegetable stir fry. I cooked the pork and heated the vegetables before I noticed some fuzz on the peas. Mold. I threw out the vegetables and worked for hours to save that meal. No luck. I served a very hungry family pork and noodles with fried rice....no veggies! Truly tragic. (the meat was overcooked too. It was my first time cooking pork though. lol)
