About this Cook
I am a busy fulltime working wife and mother of 3 wonderfull children. Therefore it is my challenge to cook meals from scratch everynight that are healthy and that can be on the table in less than 1 hour. My saving grace is my slowcooker and my bread machine. That and planning my meals for the month and shopping only once every two weeks (except for fresh fruit and veggies)......life is crazy busy but that just makes the challenge that much more interesting!!!!
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE trying new recipes and therefore I am a self-confessed AllRecipes addict. All my friends know that if they want a recipe of mine it must come from this site!!!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Big Sunday dinners are a must! We are often 10 peoples around the table!
My cooking triumphs
We eat family meals together EVERYNIGHT!!! This is a challenge but soooo worth the effort.
My cooking tragedies
For the life of me I cannot get my butter tarts to jell!!!!!

Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini
Great!!!! I froze this soup without the pasta. When I defrosted it I cooked the pasta seperatly and added it to the bowls then poured the soup on top.......perfect! (no more mushy pasta). I also made my own beef broth......it really makes a big difference.

Chicken Tortilla Soup V
I used leftover chicken (don't we always need a way of using that up!!!). I sauteed the onion and garlic and spices in the olive oil then dumped everything in the crockpot and cooked on high for 2-3 hours. I also followed the other reviews and added a can of black beans. Delicious!!!

Spiced Butternut Squash Soup
Perfect. Don't leave out the sherry!!! This freezes well if you leave out the cream and add it only when you reheat.
