All-Day Apple Butter

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2010
wow! I made this apple butter for the first time and it was outstanding, my husband said its going to be an all time favorite. I already have plans to make it during the holidays. The only thing i did different and would request is using splenda for those who are diabetic or watching their calories! same great taste.

Cream Puffs

Reviewed: May 14, 2008
I read all the review's and used only 3 eggs and The shell still taste like egg. I will not give up because I know if I keep working on it it can be a good cream puff. Maybe next time I will use 2 eggs 2 Tbs sugar and 2 tsp vanilla to the batter. I will update once I get It down.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: May 9, 2008
Wow this is good. I just made one for my husband the other night and thought I have made this 4 times and need to rate this good recipe. The changes I make are using 4 Granny Smiths and 4 Red Deliciouse. also adding vanilla, nutmeg, and cinnamon to the sauce! Yum This makes it a 10 star. also add half the sauce to the apples than the rest over the top crust.

Avocado, Tomato and Mango Salsa

Reviewed: May 9, 2008
WOW was this ever so yummy!! I made it last night for a BBQ and today I only have enough for a chip if that. Make sure you double the batch for it will go fast. The only thing I added was 1 serrano along with the jalapeno. It was perfect flavor. Thanks for the great recipe.

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2008
This is so good. I would strongly suggest these changes. I put everything in a crock pot but the bacon. I also added some Mexican velvetta cheese. When the chicken was done I pan fried real bacon and crumbled on top of the chicken with some Cheddar cheese. Yummy I will make every week so easy.

I topped it with cheddar cheese in the bowl and served it with garlic toast. Yummy is all I can say. My husband suggests adding some suasage or shredded chicken.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2007
I was excited about making this cheesecake since it got so many good reviews. It was terrible I can now understand the negative responses. at first i thought the negative reponses were crazy compared to all the good ones. Mine also cracked turned brown on the edges and taste like an egg. Way too many eggs I think. Also I made this for dessert to take to a friends house and they also thought it was gross. I was embaressed. I will try the cheesecake recipe my friend has who says Its easy and good. It takes cottage cheese Instead of sourcream and way less flour and eggs.

Swiss Chicken Casserole II

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2007
I have made this recipe a weekly special I make it once a week now. It is so good. The only one thing I do different is I use white wine in place of the milk and a can of chicken mushroom soup in place of the chicken soup. Tastes so much better. Thanks

Chocolate Eclair Dessert

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2007
WOW WOW WOw I can honosly rate this one 10 stars if i could. I made this recipe with bannana cream pudding and cinnamon grahm crackers. I also made the chocolate recipe by baychick. for the chocolate I used challenge butter and lakeside package of supreme cocoa. The best quality ingredients are going to make the best tasting recipes. And it sure did make the best choclate i've ever had. I had to make two dishes of this recipe The first one was made with the banana cream and the second with the cheesecake pudding. The first one was better and gone the same night except two little squares that i had the next day. I do have to say its much better after setting it overnight I wish I could have waited.

This was great. I would suggest adding a little Vanila extract and half the sugar and add brown sugar. Ive made this twice and everyone loved it.I would have to say with these minor changes makes it that much better.

Key West Chicken

This was only ok but not as good as I thought. I boiled my chicken first than bbq so it wouldent take so long. The chicken was nice and tender but the flavor was a little different.

Red Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2007
I am so sorry but these potatoes were so bland. I was looking for some good scalloped potatoes but these dident work out I will keep looking. I never had to rate a bad recipe because I usually go for the 4 1/2 or 5 stars and it usually comes out good, but these on the other hand were not so well. My 6 year old said thay were gross and my 2 year old wouldent touch them. Maybe next time I can try some with a bit more flavor.

Savory Garlic Marinated Steaks

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2007
As my Husband said THIS IS SO JUICY AND FULL OF FLAVOR. We were both impressed. We had these for Valentines dinner and I was sure satisfied. I did use fresh garlic and onion. Oh and I dident use as much vinegar as suggested and it was just perfect. The time was way off we had to grill each side for 20 min. and make sure you seir each side first to keep the juice in the steak so it can be nice and tender. This went great with garlic red potatoes from this site. And if you havent tried the choclate covered strawberrys it was a great combination for Valentines Day.

Garlic Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2007
These are so mouth watering. I cut my potatoes real small and covered with foil. I cooked it at 400 deg. for 45 min. and uncovered at 350 deg. for 30 min. I would highly reccomend this method or else your potatoes will be hard or take hours before their done. I used fresh garlic. When it was done I sprinkled extra parmesean blend (with romano and other great chesses). Oh and I sprinkled parsley and rosemary as suggested and it looked and tasted great.

Authentic Enchiladas Verdes

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2007
WOW WOW WOW! AS I WAS MAKING THESE I THOUGHT THEY WERE GONNA BE ALRIGHT BUT AS MY HUSBAND SAID THESE ARE SOOOO GOOD. I MADE IT EXACTLY I HAD MORE THAN ENOUGH SAUCE, I THINK WHAT I DID WAS ADD TOO MUCH BROTH IN THE BLENDER BUT I CORRECTED IT BY ADDING CHEESE ON TOP OF ROLLED ENCHILADAS ALONG WITH SAUCE AND BAKING IT ON 425 FOR 15 MIN. I THAN PUT SOME QUESO FRESCO AND CHOPPED CILANTRO ON TOP ALONG WITH SOUR CREAM. THIS ALSO COOLED DOWN THE CHILI SO MY KIDS COULD ENJOY THEM TOO.

Slow Cooker Chile Verde

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2007
I HAD TO RATE THIS AGAIN BECAUSE IT WAS EVEN BETER THE NEXT MEAL WE HAD OUT OF IT. I WAS ACTUALLY ABLE TO MAKE 3 MEALS OUT OF IT. WE HAD CHIMICHANGAS WITH THE PORK, RICE, AND CHEESE FRIED WITH SOME SAUCE POURED ON TOP WITH QUESO FRESCO AND SOURCREAM SO AWESOME. THAN WE SAVED THE SAUCE SINCE WE USED ALL THE MEAT FOR THE CHIMIS AND THE SAUCE IS GREAT WITH EGGS IN A BURRITO WITH CHEESE.tHANKS
