I love to feed people and I love to be fed. I like to try all kinds of food and thats why I love cooking. I admit I also enjoy the praise.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake in the winter. I just started making my own pasta and I'm having fun with that. I love Tapas and all Spanish food, so I like cooking that. I also like Southern cooking and make killer Fried Chicken, Chicken Fried Steak and Biscuts and Gravy. I also like to get something at a restaurant and try to replicate it at home.

Christmas Eve Seafood Buffet and Egg Nog that makes everyone sing lovely Christmas Carols!
My cooking triumphs
When friends and family get on bended knee and hail me!
My cooking tragedies
I had my husbands ex-girlfriend over to dinner with her husband (my 1st mistake!) and made a total mess out of Lobster Newburg. I had never even boiled a lobster before and I was trying this recipe for the first time and she loved that I screwed up. That has to be the most memorable tragedy. Since I learn by trial and error I'm sure I've had a few.

Rum Swizzles
This was amazing. I left out the grenadine and the second batch I used a whole bottle of Ginger Beer and everyone liked the extra ginger flavor.

Wisconsin Bratwurst
My father is from Wisconsin and my Mother is German, so I grew up on brats. I always cook my brats in beer before grilling(my father hates that) but wondered if adding the onions and butter would add to the taste and it did. The only reason I gave this only 3 stars is the poking of the bratwurst. If someone trying this recipe did this they would be robbed of the juicy explosion you get when you bite into a properly cooked bratwust! And ketchup?...never should it touch a bratwurst!

Chicken with Rice (Arroz con Pollo)
This is fantastic as is, but the second time I made it I added a diced seeded jalapeno when I added the rice and I used white wine in place of the 1/2 cup of water.
