This needed a lot of tweaking. I added a LOT of vegetables (carrots, celery, potatoes, froz. peas and froz. corn) and then, not realizing I'd almost tripled the contents of my slow cooker, I still "added water to cover." When I came home, I had a full pot....of soup. I'd recommend if you're adding veggies to this, to either add far less than you think you should, or add more Cream of Chicken soup so it doesn't wind up watery. On the plus side, I was pretty sure the using-canned-biscuits-as-dumplings thing was going to be a disaster, but it actually was pretty amazing. I don't think I'll make this recipe again, since I'm sure there are better ones for Chicken and Dumplings out there. But I'll hang on to the biscuit idea. Just my $.02.
