Butternut Squash Soup II

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2013
This soup was fantastic. I used a large sweet potato instead of 2 medium regular potatoes. I also added garlic, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cayenne pepper. My husband loved this soup and this is normally something he would not care for. Loved it!

Flatlander Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2013
Made this last night and it was the best chili I have made yet! Husband loved it. Added a can of diced tomatoes but left everything else as written.

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2013
I followed the recipe exactly and doubled it, which was the perfect amount for 2 pounds of ground beef. This was a million times better than the packet I normally use. My husband said they were the best tacos he's ever had!

Corn Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2012
This dip was a hit at my last BBQ. Everyone is still talking about it and asking me to make it for the next get-together. I followed the recipe but the only difference was I used a block of cream cheese instead of mayo, and didn't have fresh jalapeno, so I used a can of diced jalapenos instead. Added some cayenne for a kick.

Baked Spaghetti

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2011
This was really good. And it made a ton! It fed 7 people, inlcuding 5 big guys and there was still leftovers! I did add about 1/2 a jar more sauce per the previous reviews and it was perfect.

Easy Meatloaf

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2011
This was really good. I did add some garlic, italian seasoning and worchestire (sp?) sauce and I used a meatloaf mix of ground beef, pork and veal instead of just the ground beef. Hubby had 2 servings and took the rest for lunch. Good thing I made 2 and froze one for another day!

Strawberry Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2011
These were really easy to make and tasted great. I did follow other reviews and added 1/4 cup of brown sugar for 1/2 of the total sugar called for. Also I added 1/2 tsp of cinnamon and vanilla extract. Also I sprinkled white sugar on top of the raw muffins before putting them in the oven. They came out great!

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2011
These were pretty good for my first time ever making biscuits from scratch. They didn't rise too much but I think I may have kneaded too much. Definetly will try again!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2010
Great Recipe! I even forgot the milk in the sauce and it still came out great. I added a crushed clove of garlic to the pot of boiling veggies, potatoes, and chicken. Also I used chicken stock to boil in instead of water. So yummy!

Jalapeno Chicken II

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2010
This was really good! I diced the jalapenos and mixed with cream cheese, salt, pepper, and garlic powder, then filled the marinated chicken with the mixture. I skipped the bacon and baked/grilled in my nuwave oven. So yummy!

Bob's Mexican Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2009
This was really good. It did take quite a while to prepare and assemble. But it was worth it. I followed the advise of the other reviews and added the cream cheese in the filling. That really made the dish I think. I also made a sauce with a can of petite diced tomatos with jalapenos, salsa, the left over diced peppers/onions/garlic-sauted, and sour cream. So good!!
