White Sangria with Lemonade

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2013
This was so delicious. I tripled the recipe and left out the lemon lime soda. I added some frozen mangos to it. There was nothing left to this. Beware, it's very easy to go down...and it's got a kick!

Jackie's Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2012
This was super easy and delicious. I used chicken and gouda sausage and cut the orzo in half and used the other half lentils. I also tossed in a 1/2 cup frozen peas when I tossed in the orzo. Delicious, thanks!

Meatiest Vegetarian Chili From Your Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2012
This was a bust. I'm not sure why but it just wasn't anything like chili it was just a pot of beans. I did follow the recipe exactly. Not going to be on my veggie rotation.

Vegetarian Cottage Cheese Patties

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2012
This is a staple in my house. I don't fry them at all. I baked them for 12 minutes on each side on a well greased cookie sheet. While that's baking I make a mushroom onion gravy to put over. Delicious! I make this once a week, since I always have the ingredients handy.

Smothered Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2009
I've been using this recipe for years and it's always a hit. Very easy, just make sure you start in more than enough time to ensure table time. Sometimes, I have to let this simmer for 2 hours to tender up my chops. But very delicious and worth the wait.

Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
This is so delightful and so easy. I used 2 granny smith and 2 gala apples. I cut the sugar in half and used brown sugar. I also used 1/2 cup water and increased cooking time to about 40-45 minutes. It couldn't have been more perfect. I will make this again and again. Also, I chopped the apple up pretty small so that by the time it was done cooking there was hardly any mashing at all to do.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2009
I followed just as written and it was fantastic. As others have said, if you don't love chocolate, don't make this. It's chocolatey, rich, super moist, super delicious. I made a caramel glaze to go on top. Will be a regular for me.

Pistachio Nut Cake II

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2009
I made this cake this weekend for a get together and it was a hit. It was wonderful in a very understated way. When you ate it, you realized it was good and light, super moist but you didn't want to smear it all over yourself - not that good. BUT both me and my husband, after leaving the cake at a friends house kept thinking about and craving this cake - it's special that way.

Molly's Chicken

Reviewed: May 28, 2009
This is a good, simple recipe. Is it gourmet? No. Is it great for a weekday meal when no one feels like cooking? Yes. I used quality soy sauce and this was not salty at all. I used boneless chicken breast and added some carrots, cooked on low for about 5 hours. I pulled the chicken out, broke it into chunks. Meanwhile, I mixed a little cornstarch and water added it to the sauce to thickened it. I then tossed the chicken back in, turned the crock off and let it mingle for a bit. We ate this over brown rice and both enjoyed it. This is easy, good, and hearty - things that don't come together very often. Try it, but be careful using cheapy soy sauce as it may turn this into something way to salty.

Butter Bean Burgers

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2008
We loved this recipe. We tried it the original way, loved it. Then we decided to throw other things in them with no real measure - toasted sunflower seeds, chopped cauliflower and brocolli, chopped garlic. Loved that too. It's a very flexible recipe that you can't go wrong with.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2007
Great recipe, I make this all of the time. So easy and always comes out with a fabulous gravy and incredible tenderness. I usually shred the meat when cooked and serve it on french bread. It makes the best roast beef poboy you'll ever have.

Gerry's Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2007
Yes, these are time consuming, but soooo worth it. I use a rotisserie chicken to save time (I buy when I feel like it, shred it and then freeze, then when I'm ready, it's there.) I have shared this recipe with others and everyone has loved it. It's great and are requested often.

I tried this recipe quite a while ago and we love it. There are no changes, except I use freshly minced garlic. It's fabulous, everyone loves it and it has become an easy staple to my menu.
