Absolute Best Pancake Syrup

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
This is really yummy...it is runnier than store bought syrup and does seperate some but, overall those 2 things don't break the recipe. I will be making this again and again!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2008
Fantastic! My 5 year old son and I made this tonight. when my husband and other son got home from scouts we dug right in....yummmmmmy...warm with a scoop of vanilla icecream. I opted to make a double batch and baked in a 9X13 without a bottom crust.

Frosted Banana Bars

Reviewed: May 17, 2008
I made this in a 9X13 cake pan, The only alterations I made was that I made my own maple frosting for them since I didn't have cream cheese. OMGoodness so delish! This has replaced my mom's recipe!

Aunt Anne's Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2008
I loved this! Very easy to make. I don't mind the topping melting into the cake so much. Next time I will sprinkle on towards the end of baking just to see what difference it makes. I am adding this to my folder of favorties!

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2008
This pudding is awesome! I did follow the reviewers sugestions of mixing dry then adding cold milk, and finally heating. I doubled the recipe and added a teaspoon of cinnamon.

Sweet Potato Souffle

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2008
This was very yummy and pretty easy to make too. I did make a couple changes. I added only 2 eggs and exchanged the walnuts for quick cooking oats. I will add this to my staple recipe collection.

Apple Butter I

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2007
This recipe was a great start for tweaking. After reading all the suggestions I did make a few changes. First, I initially tripled the recipe to accomodate my amount of apples. Then I cut the sugar by half and used half white and half brown sugar. I also reduced the cinnamon by half. The end product was FABULOUS! The house smelled wonderful and thae taste was so much better than any bought apple butter.

Fluffy Biscuit Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2007
These were VERY simple to make and did come out very fluffy. I tripled the recipe to have enough for my family. I prefer biscuits a bit sweeter so next time will add a tablespoon or so of sugar. They were deliscious the next morning with some homemade apple butter!

Jiffy Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2007
I made this cinnamon roll recipe this morning after my son begged for some. I didn't have time to make yeast ones so I thought I would try these. I made a few modifications: I fiddled with the amount of flour and milk to get the right textured dough, I omitted the currants, and I added 2 tsp of vanilla. My family loved them. The dough was like a fluffy biscquit which we really liked. I would have given the recipe a 5 star had I not needed to tweak the measurments of flour and milk.

Crumb Cake II

Reviewed: May 12, 2007
I made this crumb cake this morning and by bed time there was only 1/4 of it left. My family thought it was delectible. I did make a few alterations. I used 2 eggs, and since I didn't have buttermilk I used regular milk. I also added 1/2 cup brown sugar to the mix for the crumb topping. Oh, I added a sprinkle of Tastefully Simple Mulling Spice too! I am sure this will be enjoyed by our family for years to come!

Party Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2006
I was looking for a colorful and yummy treat for the holuday and thought I would try these. They turned out very pretty but, the taste was very dissapointing. Very bland. I even sprinkled extra jello mix on top before baking. I tried raspberry and orange flavors. The kids didn't even ask for more the 3. Sorry...everyone has different tastes and these didn't suit us

Grandma Betty's Ice Cream Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2006
A very easy recipe. I adapted to fit my family due to my children being allergic to nuts. I used 1 package butterscotch and 1 package vanilla pudding. I didn't mix any candy bars inside. Instead I opted to spinkle the top with a mixture of graham cracker crumbs and crushed butterscotch morsels...YUM YUM

Easy Lemon Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2006
This recipe is awesome! I made them for a cookie exchange this Christmas. They are SIMPLE to make. I used lemon juice instead of lemon extract. I made about 25 cookies per box of mix. My boys didn't like them...but, lemon is more of a grown-up taste I think. I will be makiing these many more times in the future!
