Cheesecake Supreme

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2009
I made this cheesecake yesterday for Easter. It was my first attempt at cheesecake as I've always been a bit scared of it. I condiser myself to be a decent baker. I wanted to rate this recipe with 1 star but couldn't bring myself to do it. This would be because of the need to add cooking time. I cooked mine exactly as the recipe stated (my oven is the correct temp) and after cooling and then refrigerating it was rather liquidy except for the outer 2". I did put it back in the oven to see if I could rescue it. I will know when I get home tonight and try a piece. If I would have read all of the reviews I would have known to cook it for 3 hours instead of 1 but it really should state that right in the recipe. I was very disappointed last night. I will try to make it again, however. I will follow the cooking directions found in the reviews and see if it turns out as well as everyone says.

Grilled Bacon Jalapeno Wraps

Reviewed: May 30, 2006
We have a different variation on this recipe that came from the Marlboro Cook Like A Man Cookbook. You mix an 8oz pkg of cream cheese with 1 tbsp Cajun Seasoning and 2 tsp Garlic Pwdr. They are awesome like that! Just make sure that you always tuck the end of the bacon under where you already wrapped it or it will unravel on the grill.

Bread Pot Fondue

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2003
Everyone loved this recipe. I did substitute 1/2 lb. of bacon for the ham. Also, it seemed to take a very long time to bake but I will just have to remember that for next time (because there will definitely be a next time). I used the bread from 2 round loaves and still didn't have enough for all of the dip so I would suggest having crackers on hand also or else a LOT of bread. You won't have any leftovers here!

This was delicious. I made them twice in one week and for every special occasion since! And the kids love to help make them.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2000
I made this stuffing in 1999 and am making it again this year. It was wonderful and everybody loved it. I did not use apricots. I used dried cranberries. Also, this year I will not toast the bread. It was a little too hard. I am going to let it sit out overnight to harden a bit. Everyone is looking forward to having it again!
