World's Best Lasagna
Very, very good! I used a regular sausage. I just threw in a ton of onion and garlic, and used more seasoning than the recipe called for. Used 1.5 jars tomato sauce, two cans paste, and probably about 1.5 cups of water. Did not use crushed tomatoes or canned sauce. Mixed the ricotta into the sauce to make it easier to spread.

French Onion Soup Gratinee
While my husband and ever-picky father-in-law liked this soup, I felt that it was a touch too sweet. Next time I will use 3 red onions and 1 sweet onion. To give it that savory dark, savory taste that I crave when I think of french onion soup, I think I will also use half chicken broth, half beef broth (or consomme). I also agree that half the butter and half the wine would also help. (Make sure to avoid 'sweet' red wines.) Tip: instead of toasted italian bread, consider toasting an asagio flavored bread. I used a loaf of rustic three-cheese (Mozz/asagio/romano) semolina bread from my grocer's bakery dept. Awesome with this soup.

Garlic Prime Rib
Made this as written. Delicious flavor, and this recipe will now be my go-to for prime rib. Did take about 45 more minutes to cook than directed to get to medium rare. My oven is fairly new and historically reliable, so I don't think oven temp control is the issue. Moral of the story: don't rush perfection, and invest in a reliable meet thermometer.
