F is for Fresh Butter

I have two favorite memories with butter. The first is last Easter when I was making whipped cream. Of course I got distracted and ended up making butter! I drained and rinsed the butter curds and added a little salt! We ended up with the unexpected addition
of fresh butter to our Easter meal. Yum!
My second favorite memory is the first time I made Swiss Meringue Buttercream. Man, does it use a lot of butter! By the time the frosting and cake were done, I'd used 13 sticks of butter! I've not used that much in one recipe since then!
