About this Cook
I am married and have one child, both are picky eaters! So I am learning a lot on this cooking journey of mine!
My favorite things to cook
Pot Roast, Corn Kielbasa Chowder and Anything Baked!!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Getting up super early on Christmas Morning and helping my stepmom to bake a cake for Jesus' birthday!!! (Once I was old enough to take part in the early morning stuff, so I wouldn't ruin Santa's visit with the gifts...)
My cooking triumphs
My Pot Roast is pretty good (in the crock pot). Also, the corn kielbasa chowder was a HUGE hit with all of our friends when I made it the first time! And EVERYONE love the cakes that I bake!
My cooking tragedies
I'll never forget the first time I tried to bake a cake, I was in 4th grade and I read the box wrong...where it said 1 1/4 cups of water, I thought it was ELEVEN cups......let's just say that cake almost NEVER got cooked enough to eat! But it did eventually cook somewhat through and the poor lady it was for, she tried to be nice and ate some.....I am sure it was aweful!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue
WOW, THIS WAS AMAZING! My husband HATES chicken (as he calls it, yard bird!)...I get tired of meat/potatoes all the time so I try chicken meals every now and again...He usually eats them, but does not like them. I made this tonight and he LOVED it! He said, "WOW, this is great! What great flavor! Keep this recipe!!" IT'S A KEEPER!! I followed the instructions above with 6 chicken breasts, but I did defrost them first. I used Sweet Baby Rays Sweet and Spicy BBQ sauce (18oz). I also added 3 cloves of minced fresh garlic and some dried chopped onion as well. Cooked it all day on low and served on buns! Great meal!!! Highly recommend!!!
