Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2002
These were very close to RL's! I did use milk, and added garlic powder, onion powder, and parsley to the dough as well as the butter. My family was very impressed!

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2010
Great flavor. Easy to make. I am lazy and hate to do more dishes so I just cooked the rice in 3c milk from the begining. I also ommited the butter by accident and didnt realize it until now but like I said it tasted great anyway! Definitely temper the eggs first. Great consistency.

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2010
Sooo easy and so good. Simply deliceous! I used celery seed instead of poppy seeds and use about a 1/3 cup sugar instead of 1/2. I get many compliments on this slaw!

Lemon Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2006
This was a great recipe. I did go 1/2 and half with the white sugar/brown sugar and all purpose flour/whole wheat flour. I also added 3/4 walnuts. Tasted perfect!

Biscochitos Traditional Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2011
These were very good! I used 1 tblsp brandy flavoring and used milk to make up for the rest of the liquid from the lack of brandy. I also added a little more anise because I know I like my biscochitos a little more anisey! :) Took me back home to Albuquerque!

Absolutely the BEST Rich and Creamy Blue Cheese Dressing Ever!

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2006
I am not a huge fan of blue cheese dressing so I personally wouldn't know if this was "the best", however, the company that I made this dressing for loved it. One of my guests actually said, "I could just eat a whole bowl of this alone!". Thank you for the recipe!

Cream Cheese Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2009
I must say that this is quite tasty. Not way too sweet. I personally like more crust so the lack of the lattice top of a traditional pie was a little disappointing. Next time I will make more crust and put shapes on top! I also think next time I will add just a little more cream cheese mixture for my personal prefrence. I used fresh blueberries and the end product set up very nicely and not runny. I did also add a little vanilla (1/4 tsp)to the ceam cheese mixture.

Pumpkin Apple Streusel Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2006
I didn't like the streusel topping! I am glad that I tasted the first ones out of the oven. I baked the rest without the topping and they were fantastic!

Pumpkin Gingerbread

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
This is great bread. Personally I expected it to be more gingerbread like but it was more of a spicier pumpkin bread. Bake a day ahead so that the flavors really develope! If you are looking for more of a gingerbread I would maybe sub some of the water and sugar for molasses and add a little more ginger but really this recipe is fantastic! Not too sweet either! I will definitely make again and again and experiment with the molasses and spices to gain the perfect recipe for us.

Easy Peppermint Marshmallows

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
These were very good! Personally the peppermint was a little too much for me so next time I will probably put half the amount. Also I would like to suggest that instead of the plastic wrap thing just lightly grease a nonstick 9 x 9 and dust with the cornstarch and powdered sugar mixture, pour in and then put mixture on the top as well. It saved lots of time and hassel as the first batch stuck horribly to the spots pf wrap that had no spray! Oh then dust a pizza cutter and cut!

Fresh Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2010
This pie was very good. A little too sweet for my personal taste but still very good! I used fresh nutmeg instead of the ginger and used 1 full teaspoon of cinnamon in this recipe and used a gingersnap crust. The texture was different but I liked it. It seemed too watery but set up just fine. I will make again with less honey.

Red Lentil Curry

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
Easy recipe to make. It was very tasty and definitely satisfied my craving for Indian food but it seemed to lack a little something. If I hadn't been in such a hurry I would have played around with it a little bit.

Japanese Zucchini and Onions

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
I must first admit that zucchini is not my favorite vegetable. That being said it is not bad either. I had lots of it and looked for something to make it great. This recipe wasn't it. This was good but I probably won't make it again.

Buffalo Chicken Wings I

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2006
Although this recipe has good flavor the sauce is too thin and does not stick to the wings well enough. It also seems too oily or something. On the third batch I lightly dusted the wings in a mixture of flour and cayenne (making sure to shake as much flour off as possible)before frying and this seemed to help considerably with making the sauce stick. Good recipe but not 5 star good.

Super Duper Zucchini Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2009
I followed this recipe pretty closely except added a little more cinnamon and nutmeg. The muffins were very bland still and just seemed to be missing something. I could also taste the baking powder as another reviewer had mentioned. Edible but NOT incredible!
