I'm 32 and live w/ my bf and our son. I always cooked just a few meals before, very simple, no brainers. As soon as my son turned the age of being able to eat what we eat, I started getting interested in cooking. Raman Noodles was a staple way back in the day. I love the Food Network and cook at least 5 times out of the week, sometimes 6. I'm not afraid of the stove anymore :O)
My favorite things to cook
Mexican, soups, anything in the crockpot
My favorite family cooking traditions
Chicken and Dumplings, Cornbread, Soups
My cooking triumphs
Not being afraid of it, my mom tells me not to worry. Just try new things, and you'll see it usually works out. She's right, I'm no longer worried about what spices go good with this or that. I just go for it.
My cooking tragedies
I didn't like the crock pot at first, the food looked ugly. I had done a few things wrong, and of course I spoke to my mother about it and she said that there were a few things that I did wrong. Now I feel like a pro when it comes to slow cooking.
