Cranberry Mango bread --- even on a diet!

I just put a loaf of the Cranberry Mango Bread into the oven and my mouth is already watering. I've made it before and it's fantastic. The mango infuses a subtle yet exotic flavor to the bread that sets it apart. Of course, it's almost as light as a cake and at about 250 calories a thin slice, it's not something I can indulge in often if I'm to keep my goal of losing a Pound-A-Week! Still, as a special treat NOTHING is forbidden on my weight loss plan.
In the past, I probably would have had a slice equal to about 3 or 4 "servings" and slathered it with butter or jam or peanut butter. Now, either "au naturale" or at most a thin shmeer of a low-cal, low-fat butter-type-spread (I use the Brummel & Brown 'yogurt' spread) will suffice. Luckily, with this recipe, you don't need anything extra to make it taste good.
That's one thing I've learned since beginning my diet this past January (down 21 pounds do far!) -- pick recipes that don't require spreads or sauces to make them a treat. It defeats the purpose if I make a reasonably caloried dish but have to add 500 calories in butter or frosting to make it delicious.
But EVERYTHING I eat should be delicious -- or why bother eating it?
