Grilled Tilapia with Mango Salsa

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2009
This is probably the best dish I have ever made from Allrecipes. I followed the recipe, with a few slight modifications: grilled fish on cedar planks, and slightly less jalapeno. It turned out amazing!!!

Kalua Pig in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2009
This is very easy to make and tastes great. A very good way to feed lots of people inexpensively. I made this dish for superbowl. I served the pork on potato buns. Word of advice: put the slow cooker outside for the night! The smell completely overwhelms your house- I had a hard time sleeping!

Garlic Corn on the Cob

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2008
Really good corn! Followed the "recipe" except I used spread fresh minced garlic around the corn instead of the powder. Tasted like candy!

Pumpkin Cheesecake in a Gingersnap Crust

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
This was tasty, but not amazing. Made it for tanksgiving. The butter in the crust was too much, as it came out very greasy. Unfortunately, nobody wanted to take the rest of this home with the leftovers. My mom told me she thought it was too rich.

Very Yummy!!! We loved it, but definitely half the recipe if you don't have many people.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2008
This is sooo good. I have made it twice now and both times I have had people begging me for the recipe. A few things that i do differently- half the mayo and use sourcream for the other half portion. Add shredded mexican cheese and topp with cheese and panko flakes (bread crumbs) and bake. The crusty top just makes it the best!.

Spicy Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2008
This was a pretty good basic chicken recipe. It definitely needs more red pepper flakes- I doubled what the recipe called for and it still was not enough for us. But overall a good recipe. I think I'll try it again but add something else to give it more oomph.

Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2008
Good Recipe. used small yellow because I had no red. Also I didn't have dried mustard so I used regular dijon and they still tasted yummy. I eyeballed the honey amount- probably doubled. These were really good!

Bake Sale Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
These are excellent. Remind me of the kind of pastry you would get at a fancy cafe. I followed GourmetMommy's modifications and they were wonderful. Made them for a potluck and came home with just the baking dish.

Coconut Rice

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2008
This is my husband's favorite way to eat rice now. He loves it!!! I use light coconut milk from Trader Joes- it seems to be the tastiest, and it is lower in calories that the other brands.

Very good recipe. Served at Halloween and two batches were gone in the first hour. I think I am going to make these again for Thanksgiving!

California Kabobs

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2008
Very good kabobs. I just did mine veggie and threw them on the grill as a side dish. I did mine overnight, and while they tasted fine, the mushrooms fell off the skewers and had to be put back on. Next time I'll probably make them in the morning and let them soak in the maranade until its time to cook.

Grilled Onions

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2008
These tuned out really good. Tasty and great with the rest of the grilled dinner. Mine came out kind of mushy, so I think next time I wont keep them on the grill for so long- maybe only 45 min or so. But thats just chef error so I still give this side dish 4 stars.
