Lobster Newburg

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2013
I was in the mood for seafood the other night and found your recipe. I used Madeira this time only because when I went to my bar it was what I saw first. And I used puff pastry shells instead of toast because I had them already in the freezer. Wonderful, quick and easy yet very elegant! I think a lot of people might be a bit scared because to the butter and the constant stirring. But there really is nothing to be worried about. Thanks for sharing.

Haydari (Turkish Yogurt Dip)

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2013
Wow and wow! I made this over the weekend and simply loved it! I make my own yogurt cheese quite often and enjoy coming across new ways to use it. I know I will be making it again and often. I didn’t bother with the cream cheese, just didn’t feel it was a necessary ingredient. Thanks for sharing.

Mini Spinach and Crab Quiche

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2013
I was cleaning out my pantry this weekend and came across a couple cans of crab meat that I felt needed to get used up. Mostly because I am not sure what century I put them into the pantry to begin with! When I saw this recipe I knew I had to try it so the cans stayed out on the counter until Sunday morning. Sunday morning rolled around and within no time at all, these little guys popped out of the oven. Such an easy recipe (my favorite kind on Sunday mornings) to put together. I have to confess, I used collard greens because the market was out of spinach (how is that even possible?) and I used heavy cream instead of milk because I had some that needed to be used up. None the less, these little guys were really easy to throw together, looked great and tasted wonderful. This recipe is a keeper and I know I will be making these little guys again in the future soon. Thanks for sharing.

Marinated Cherry Tomato Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2013
This was really a nice way to use up an overabundance of cherry tomatoes I found myself with this year. I’m going to use fresh herbs next time and also add mini mozzarella balls for a nice marinated Caprese salad. Thanks for sharing.

Tangy Tomato Tart (Pie)

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2013
I made this recipe the other day and have to agree, the recipe calls for way too much oil. I will be making it again though because I did like it. But will either be cutting back the oil to 1 Tablespoon or perhaps leaving it out altogether. Thanks for sharing!

Whipped this up today for brunch, wow, incredible! I would never have used the maple sausage on my own, but now I can’t imagine making my sausage gravy any other way. Thanks so much for sharing!

Pineapple and Cheese Spread

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2012
I've made this twice now, the first time it was fine as is, but people weren't crazy about it and there was more than I expected left over. So the next time I made it I added curry powder and that did the trick. Everyone loved it and this time there was none left over my the end of the night. Thanks for sharing.

Onion Quiche

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2012
I’ve been meaning to thank you for sharing this with us for some time; it’s become one of my go to recipes. I really like it and have made it several times, as a matter of fact ones in the oven right now! It’s great for a light lunch or dinner and if I don’t have heavy cream around I always have ½ & ½ so it works just as well.

Mom's Baked Macaroni and Cheese

Finally, a basic mac & cheese recipe that as given not only is easy the throw together, but tastes great too! Like so many others I have tried several other mac & cheese recipes and they always have disappointed me in one way other another. This one is a keeper for sure, thanks for sharing it with us.

Creamy Buttermilk Dressing

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2012
I enjoyed this dressing very much. As for it being thick, that’s an easy fix by adjusting the amount of buttermilk. I agree with what someone else said that the lemon juice/vinegar seemed a bit much at first taste. But after an overnight rest in the fridge all the flavors married together and it’s great. Thanks for sharing!
