Pasta Primavera with Italian Turkey Sausage

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2012
Loved it, used farro instead of pasta, it was delicious! Did not stray to far from recipe, but seasoned to taste. Also used pork sausage (hot and sweet) and it was perfect. Great healthy filling dish! Will definitely make again.

Beer Braised Irish Stew and Colcannon

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2011
Awesome! Big hit when I brought it in to work on St Patricks Day. I added more beer than it called for to make more broth/sauce. Just added a bit more of the seasonings to make up for it. Colcannon was awesome to. Recipe very easy to make, I did not stray far from recipe at all.

Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
Awesome! My husband, "the chef" modified this, by adding celery, garlic, honey, nutmeg, cinnamon, and some sugar. He advised me to adjust to taste buds, turned out great! I agree with other reviewers only need 1 8oz package of cream cheese. I used fat free, I could not tell a difference. Lots of flavor and creaminess. Used two huge squash and made a gallon of soup. Also, a lot of reviewers roasted the squash first, but I followed the recipe and boiled until I had a great stock base with flavor and the squash was rtender enough to puree. Will make again definitely!

Beef Nacho Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2010
This is great recipe minus the mayo and sub for sour cream. I did not try it with the mayo, but it was a huge hit with my husband who is from San Antonio and loves good mexican food. I also added refried beans to the mixture. It was awesome will make again.

Chicken Pot Pie VI

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2009
This is a great recipe! My husband loved and took some to work the next day for a coworker and she loved it too! I did recipe identical to what is listed, however I only used 2 chicken breasts (2 good size ones) and chopped finely and that was more than enough, I think unless your using ver small chicken breasts you only need two. I will also try making this again but with low fat ingredients and I think it will be just as good. Also I added a little bit of garlic to the recipe. I don't think I can ever go back to eating a pot pie out of a box again.

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2009
I added a bit of diced red onion (about 1/4 cup) It was awesome. I did not have fresh basil, my grocery store had no fresh basil (can you believe that?!) so went for dried. Still a great brushetta and I got rave reviews on it at work. Did not add cheese but served over garlic crackers and also over garlic cheese bread. I am sure it is even better with fresh basil.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2003
All I can say is that these are just ok. These don't remind me of the oatmeal cookies my mom use to make. I made the recipe exact except for the butter flavored shortening. I honestly don't think that made a difference. I do think personally it calls for too many oats and too many rasins. I also think they were not as sweet as i thought they would be. Perhaps if I changed the recipe accordingly to my taste buds they would be better. I will definately look for a better recipe.

Banana Bread I

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2003
This was the first time I had ever mad Banana bread and it was a hit! Turned out Great!! I did the exact recipe except I added butter on top of bread after it was done baking. Also to keep it really moist I wrapped it in foil when it was still somewhat warm. Strongly recommend recipe! Great one for beginners!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2001
I am a beginner at cooking and have to have a recipe to follow. This was a great recipe for me because I have never made meatloaf before. It was super easy and really delicious. The only thing I changed was I used a hotsauce ketchup mixture(because that is what I had instead of plain ketchup) and it was awesome, turned out perfect. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did.
