Easy Sugar Cookies

Very good sugar cookies. Mine won't spread during baking, so i ended up pushing down each one of them in my oven. Definitely a keeper!

Perogies

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2006
I made the potato version of the filling. It tasted so good! However, the filling was way too much for the dough. Or maybe i just didnt roll it out thin enough? I loved the perogies my school cafeteria makes. The ones i made tasted exactly the same! if not better! All i can say is wow...this recipe ended my perogie cravings.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2006
I didn't use the walnuts. These tasted very very good. My problem is that my cookies don't flatten out. I tried greasing the cookie sheets but i still ended up with ball shaped cookies! argh! I have this problem with other cookies too. Someone help me!

Lighter Libby's® Famous Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2006
I used a normal 9" pie pan (not deep dish) so i only used 1/2 amount of all the filling ingredients listed. i reduced the baking time by 10 min and it turned out perfect. I used splenda instead of sugar. I ate half of it by myself when it just came out of the oven. Yummy!

Hot and Sour Chinese Eggplant

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2006
This looked wonderful. I forgot to add the vinegar, but it still tasted great. Way too spicy for me though...If you can't stand any hot food like me then use green bell peppers rather than green chili.

Scalloped Tomatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2006
I baked this in a 9x9 inch square pan. I used 3 hot house tomatoes and a bit more basil. You definitely don't need any butter for this recipe. Saves you alot of calories too. I'm on a diet so I ate mine as dinner. This is great when its hot. Very yummy!

Ginger Snaps II

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2006
hmmmm so good! These looks so nice and professional! Just remember to pat them down a bit after placing them onto the cookie sheet cuz they rise more than flatten. Also, I added more spices but that's just my personal taste. Take them out after exactly 9 minutes even though they may seem very soft. They will harden after a while. Definitely a keeper!

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies III

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2006
Since macadamia nuts are really expensive in where I live, I used cashews instead. They turned out nicely and I just love the white chocolate taste. My first batch didn't expand so I used my hands to push down and shape the cookies on my second batch. I already finished eating my first batch all by myself as I'm writing this review. Every1 should try this recipe!

Egg-Free Low-Fat Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2006
These were soft and really good considering they are low fat. As other reviewer said, they don't expand. So i pushed them down to the size of a normal cookie. You have to make them really small to get 24 cookies. I used rainsins and also added a bit of orange zest. I love eating these with a glass of milk and I won't feel guilty eating them!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2006
Wow...this pie was amazing. Here is an advice for those of you yet to try this recipe. Don't cook the caramel filling for too long or it will thicken too much. Make the filling last to avoid this.

Best Ever Pie Crust

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2006
I would NEVER make this pie crust again. Took me nearly half an hour to try to roll it out but the dough just keeps on breaking apart. I ran out of patience at the end and just roughly pushed the dough up the sides of my pie pan. It tasted just okay.

Decorator Frosting

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2006
I have never successfully made any frosting. But this one is IT! I havled the recipe and used a fork to beat and mix. Even though it took a long time and it was exhausting, it was really worth it! I used them to decorate my gingerbread men. The best thing is the frosting hardened up overnight making the cookies possible to be stacked. #1 frosting recipe!

Gingerbread Men

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2006
I was very uncertain how these would turn out. I've only eaten a gingerbread man once but I loved it. And these turned out exactly the same taste as the one i had before. I had lots of fun decorating them and eating them. This is the ONLY recipe that i'm gonna use to make gingerbread men in the future. This recipe is WOW!!!

Gramma Bertha's Banana Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2006
Hmmm...it just came out of the oven and smells so good! can't wait to try it! I made the following adjustments. I scaled the cake down to 8 servings. Used 1 extra large banana instead of 1 1/2 banana. Subsituted margarine for butter. Subsituted 1/8 cup milk and 1/2 tsp lemon juice for 1/2 cup sour cream. I still baked it in a 10inch bundt pan, but baked it at 350F for only 20 minutes. It came out looking like a ring shaped cake. This recipe is really worth a try!

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2006
I halved the recipe and made 4 mini sized biscuits. I made the dough the night before and chill it in the fridge and baked them the next morning. They rose nicely, but it didnt come out as fluffy as i thought. I also added raisins with the milk. Good recipe overall. Tasted like scones. I would try this again since it is easier than scones ^^

Strawberry Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2006
Didn't change one thing about this recipe and the muffins turned out wonderfully. One of the best muffins i've had! So easy and so tasty. But if you like the really sweet or spiced type of muffins then this is not for you since the taste is quite mild (BUT NOT BLAND!) All of those who gave this recipe less than 5 starts should question their taste buds. It tasted even better the next day! Definitely one of the best strawberry muffins!!!
