Black Bean and Salsa Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2008
This recipe is so good!! I can't believe how easy it was. I have made black bean soups which called for triple the amount of ingredients and took at least triple the amount of time to prepare, and I thought this recipe was a million times better! Next time I will leave a cup or so of the black beans whole, but other than that I would not change a thing. THANK YOU!!

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2008
These were very good straight out of the oven, but were not as soft the next day. I do recommend rolling in sugar if you like a sweet cookie - I made it both without and with, and I definitely preferred the ones that had been rolled in sugar. If you are able to make the cookies the day you need them, I would not hesitate to recommend this recipe! Otherwise I may keep looking.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2008
I followed the recipe exactly, except I omitted the nuts. These cookies were delicious!! I was told by two separate people they were the best chocolate chip cookies they ever had! Thanks for the great recipe :)

Cajun Red Snapper

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2008
This was delicious! I omitted the cayenne pepper because I didn't have any, but it was still full of flavor. Next time I may add some fresh lemon juice. I baked it at 400 degrees instead of pan-frying.

Orange Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2008
This was very, very good. It was almost too rich for me, but my boyfriend loved it so I still gave it 5 stars! It smelled delicious while it was cooking. I followed other reviewers in substituting orange extract and vanilla pudding mix.

Artichoke Spinach Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2008
This was delicious! It is very flat compared to traditional lasagnas, so the presentation is not as impressive, but I still thought it was amazing and would definitely make it again.

Balsamic Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2008
These were really good! I was skeptical about the amount of balsamic vinegar, even though we love it, it seemed like way too much, but after cooking for 8 minutes or so, it is no longer watery, it reduces into a nice glaze on the potatoes. Thanks for a great recipe!!

These are so great - I've made them on the grill and broiled them in the toaster oven, both are amazing. We serve the mushrooms on top of a thick toasted piece of ciabatta bread - delicious!!

Portobello Mushroom Stroganoff

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2008
This was amazing! I did use the modifications from several reviews - add minced garlic, worcestershire and soy sauce, as well as reduce the sour cream to 1/2 cup. I used non-dairy sour cream and butter to make it vegan, and it was still delicious! What a great winter meal!

I thought this was delicious - I baked the fish in the oven at 375 for about 25 minutes. The salsa was amazing, and it looks so great on the fish!

Basic Flaky Pie Crust

Perfect and so easy! This is the first time I ever made a pie crust, and I will never buy the storebought kind again! I only had time to chill the dough for about 10 minutes, but it was fine to roll. Thanks!

Jamie's Minestrone

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2008
Delicious!! I substituted potatoes for the zucchini. It needed to cook a bit longer than the recipe states, although I probably didn't cut up the veggies small enough. Used the tiny salad macaroni noodles, which worked perfectly.
