Slow Cooker Pork Chops II

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2012
Very good, and tender. Nice flavor. When I make it again, I may add a little lemon juice. My family all liked it. Tender and juicy.

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2011
Great recipe, it is not soggy in the middle. I have made it twice, once with regular sliced bread, the second time with Texas Toast. Both times it came out great. I also sprinkled the bread with Rolled Oates after I soaked it. That is how they make it at Junior's in Brooklyn. Its never come out right with other recipes, this time it was great!

Orange Chicken Stir Fry

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2011
Very good recipe! I didn't have any orange juice, so I squeezed three oranges. I used about half of the lemon zest (I forgot to grate the orange peels before they went into the garbage disposal.) I did not have any bean sprouts, so I substituted broccoli. I also added yellow peppers and onions to the dish at the end. It was great! I will be making this again. Next time, I will add pineapple as well. Very versatile dish.

Simple White Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2010
Delicious and easy to make! I followed the recipe exactly and it came out light and fluffy. I beat the sugar, butter and eggs until it was very fluffy, and when I mixed in the flour, I did that by hand. Everyone who tasted it loved it.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
I love this recipe. It was so simple and easy to make. They came out so soft and chewy. I did add some extra vanilla extract for more flavor. Now as for the rolling them out part, after an hour I made rolled out 1/3 of the dough, and it was somewhat sticky. I used extra powered sugar to dust the counter and rolling pin. The rest of the dough I rolled out about 4 hours later and it hardly sticked at all. I will be making this again, but I will always make sure the dough is chilled at least four hours before rolling out the dough.

Tortillas I

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2010
This recipe is great! Growing up my mom always made homemade tortillas and they taste so much better than the ones from the store. For ones who have trouble rolling it out, made sure not to over knead the dough, this will made it more difficult to roll out.

One Bowl Brownies

I didn't have any brownie squares so i used 12 tblspoons cocoa powder and three tablespoons vegetable oil. It came out perfectly fine. I also was talking on the phone and forgot to add the vanilla extract, and it still tasted great. Crispy outside nice and moist center. I will definately be making this again.

Stained Glass Window Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2006
They looked pretty, but when people tried them, once they got to the candy part, they didn't like it very much. I used life savers, and even after just 6 minutes, the candies got a burnt taste to them and sometimes started turning black. If I try it again, I may use a different candy.

Yummy Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2006
It was a little bland for my tastes, but really, what do you want for four ingredients? If I make it again I will add some Goya Adobo and let it set in the marinade a bit before I cook it. It was very tender and juicy, which is why I will probably give it another try.

Grandma's Moist Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2006
This recipe was awesome! When I made the cake it tasted great, I got nothing but compliments from the 12 people who tasted it. I served it with buttercream icing. The cake didn't live to see three days. I used regular flour instead of self rising, but I just took out 5 teaspoons of flour out and replaced it with 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder and 2 1/2 teaspoons of salt. It came out great.

Butter-Dipped Biscuit Squares

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2006
Maybe I am doing something wrong, but baking the biscuits in the butter practically fries the bottom of the biscuits and they burn before the tops turn golden brown. The top half tastes really good though. I am going to try making them again without baking them in the butter because they taste good and are nice and buttery.
