Mad Hatter Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2012
this was an excellent choice for our clambake/potluck at camp. Many people raved about it,and many asked me for the recipe.. My husband made me save a bowl of it before I brought it to our function. I did use oriental ramen noodles. and I also cut back on the butter and sugar

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2012
these were good. Not to die for but good. I made as written. Flavor to me was ok but lacking something just not sure what. They did not sink and they came out looking great . I just made sure not to over mix the batter.

Blueberry Crisp II

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2012
I made this recipe exactly as written. So easy , and the end product was excellent. Mine was not doughy.came out crispy. I was going to add lemon zest but I didn't. And it was not overly sweet.which I like .and I like extra topping so I did make 1.5 times the topping .. My husband liked it but was more excited over spooning extra juice from the pan :)

Hearty Egg Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2012
I liked this a lot and so did all of the people that ate it at our brunch. Only thing I did differently is used evaporated milk no heavy cream,it is what I had on hand. And next time and I will make again, I will use fresh mushrooms and add a can or 2 of green chiles.I like a little spice. Or use hot sausage

Blonde Brownies I

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2012
these are very good. Giving 4 stars because if I went and cooked it like it said it would have burnt. I also think an 8 x 8 pan would be better than 9x9. to little of batter for that 9x9 pan,but I made it work and just cooked it for 15 minutes .. perfect.

Sopapilla Cheesecake Pie

Reviewed: May 7, 2012
Same as bev below my comment.I too was making for a cinco de mayo theme dinner at our camp. And I came across this recipe in my box.I have been wanting to make this for a long time but never did.Wow you dont know what your missing... I made this exactly as written.I cut it into small bite size pieces ,and people were wishing I had made 2 pans.. So the very next day was my 1 yr anniv. So I asked hubby what he wanted me to bake. And he hands down wanted this again. So I made it again on sun.Shared with camp, and they were thrilled and they even got to have more that a bite size piece lol Only thing I did different was to melt butter for the topping and stir sug and cinn in and spread evenly on top . This would be great with some grilled apples and or baked apples.Easy enough to do while at camp .

Slow Cooker Macaroni and Cheese with Broccoli

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2012
just an fyi for anyone who is going to be making this. I am the submitter ,and when I make it I do make it with penne pasta.something a little thicker than elbows. And that way it wont be as mushy. You also have to watch it according to how fast your crockpot cooks it.mine is done in 3 hours ,so 4 to 5 hours is a guide. And if using elbows it will be done sooner.just wanted to share some tips :)

The Best Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2012
best lemon bars I have ever made. I even took them to a very fussy friends house for a party and she complains about everything and she loved them..I did add more lemon a personal preference andI knew my friend would agree too.I used 5/8 cup lemon juice and I also used the rind of 1 lemon in the crust .I baked it in a smaller pan 11x 8 so filling was perfect. In my opinion I didnt think it made to much crust. Next time I make it I am going to add 1/4 cup crushed macadamia nuts to the crust as well. I think it would go good together.

Apple Crisp Cups

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2011
took these to an office party and they were a big hit..And few people ask for the recipe.one friend knew exactly where to look and how to get recipe lol because I told her they were apple crisp cups. And they all know I only make recipes from here and sure enough she came on here and found it. I told her I would have printed the the recipe for her :) I did go with another reviewer and make less of the crust. and I did add an extra apple. and still could have used a little more. It is labor intensive ,and what a mess I made trying to figure out how to neatly press that crust into the mini cups.I finally used the back of my TBSP measuring cup spoons and press dough down hard with that and it was rounded enough to work.Or if I had a pestle I would have used that.I will make these again. They are perfect for partys and grab and go treats .

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
These brownies are melt in your mouth yummy. I made exactly as stated and they came out perfect. I always slightly undercook them. Made frosting and I stirred it with a fork,I had no problem with it blending together to make it spreadable.Easy recipe. I mixed it all by hand.I slightly beat the eggs before adding it to sug mixture. And stirred it all just until it was well moistened. easy easy.1 bowl one spoon. And of course frosting was just as easy. I like the honey in it too. I was leary at first. But def an excellent choice of brownie to make. I now have 2 fav brownies from this site. If you like choc, moist, fudgy then this is for you
