Baked Hawaiian Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2014
I made these up at our camp. I put them on a foil lined baking sheet pan and grilled them. They went so fast at a gathering ,everyone brought something. Many many request for the recipe. My husband raved about them. And said when I review it to give them 10 stars ! I said I can only give them 5 stars. And I have to say they are worth that and more. I rarely give 5 stars.....Oh I omitted the onion, only because I did not have any onion flakes. But I also knew of a few people there that do not like onions. Still they were good..

Rich and Creamy Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2014
I liked the taste using the wine. For me though I knew that amount of red pepper was to much. I omitted it and used a dash cayenne pepper. And I also used stew meat beef. It was not tender enough after an hour. Next time I think I will use a better cut of meat or shaved steak or hamburger. And I think the cream cheese takes away from the flavor to much. maybe half of that amount next time.Great tasting ,but lots of steps.. and what a mess I made lol

Banana Bread Bars with Brown Butter Frosting

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2013
I brought it to work and my office girls loved it.. Some asked for the recipe. And many people loved the frosting. I halved the frosting and I baked it in a cake pan.Frosting was a perfect amount for me. and next time I make it I will omit the frosting. I think it would be great without it

Strawberry Dream Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2013
This was a good cake. Had my doubts how it would turn out. Next time i will thaw those strawberries naturally and not in microwave. What a mess it makes when you thaw in there to long and it over flows:( Defiantly a cake for a once in awhile time. Lots of butter in this. But i dont bake to watch calories . And every thing in moderation. Frosting was so good too! Will use it in the future .

Cream Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2013
I can't quite put my finger on it, but there was a taste I just didnt like. Maybe it has to much baking powder ? I even brought a piece in to my friend at work and she said same thing .I do like the simple ingredients it had,and the fact it only makes a small cake. But I wont make again. sorry ,it just was not for me .

Tomato Pork Loin Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2013
I made the recipe as stated, except I didnt have fennel seeds, and even if I did I would not use them.. I had 3 already thin pork chops. I cut back on red pepper, and I had some noodles on the side with the sauce on top. I thought this dish was tasty. I enjoyed it and made it when hubby was not home,he is not a pork chop fan and I m pretty sure he would say nay to tomato sauce on them .

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies III

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2012
I love the texture of these cookies. I did eat one right out of the oven, and it taste okay to me. I did put them in the refig and I bet I am going to like them even more. I did use less chips. 2 cups is way to much. I added 1/2 tsp ginger. and did add walnuts, but next time I will add more..

World's Best Oreo® Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2012
I have to say I was not sure if I would like it. But it is good. Sweet but good. I cut sugar by a half a cup. And when I make the next time I will use the finely crushed oreos in the mixture, and use the chopped coarse ones for the top of it. To me with just the 1/2 cup chopped in the mixture it doesnt seem like enough to me. or maybe I can just add more chooped and less topping. Either way it is all in how you like it. But I will definately make again

WHIPPED SCOTCH COOKIES.

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2012
these were melt in your mouth good. I had never baked with cornstarch in a cookie.they are similar to a shortbread cookie. Love how easy they are to make.. I only made half the recipe. I will make again.I had marshino cherries on hand so I put a small piece in each

Ricotta Cookies III

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2012
this was a very nice light cookie. For those looking for a burst of flavors, that is not what this cookie is about. I did change from using lemon extract in icing to almond extract. I also only made half the recipe and still had over 2 dozen cookies.I took it to Boss's day and everyone loved them. And had a few requests for the recipe. I would like to try almond extract in dough next time. will def make for my Christmas trays

Raspberry Cream Cheese Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2012
This was just okay for me. Not what I was thinking it would be. Also I am my worst critic when it comes to baking, but even the majority of people at the party agreed it was just so so. If I make again I may try some pie filling in the middle. And some cinnamon. Personal preference . But I did make exactly as stated, needs more filling for sure.

Blueberry Crisp II

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2012
I made this recipe exactly as written. So easy , and the end product was excellent. Mine was not doughy.came out crispy. I was going to add lemon zest but I didn't. And it was not overly sweet.which I like .and I like extra topping so I did make 1.5 times the topping .. My husband liked it but was more excited over spooning extra juice from the pan :)

Hearty Egg Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2012
I liked this a lot and so did all of the people that ate it at our brunch. Only thing I did differently is used evaporated milk no heavy cream,it is what I had on hand. And next time and I will make again, I will use fresh mushrooms and add a can or 2 of green chiles.I like a little spice. Or use hot sausage

Blonde Brownies I

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2012
these are very good. Giving 4 stars because if I went and cooked it like it said it would have burnt. I also think an 8 x 8 pan would be better than 9x9. to little of batter for that 9x9 pan,but I made it work and just cooked it for 15 minutes .. perfect.
