Swiss Chard with Garbanzo Beans and Fresh Tomatoes

Reviewed: May 18, 2012
I was super skeptical while cooking this, but was pleasantly surprised when I tasted it! Yum! I added garlic and used Vidalia onion instead of shallot because that's what I had. Also added feta at the end. It was my first time cooking/eating chard and I will definitely make again!

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Good, but a little sweet. Add extra apples and brown sugar for more sauce.

Spinach and Strawberry Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2010
Excellent salad!! I will definitely make this impressive dish again. Husband loved it too. I used a mixture of balsamic and red wine vinegar because that's what I had on hand. I added toasted hazelnuts and feta and used less sugar. Delicious!!

Sean's Falafel and Cucumber Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2010
Delish! I did not peel or seed cucumber or add coriander. I added a little garlic powder to the sauce. It could have used a little raw red onion to serve it with. I also froze the left over balls before frying. We'll see how those turn out.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2010
Not bad at all, but I was hoping this would be better. Maybe it was my lack of cheddar (I needed to sub emmental instead) I added creme fraish and milk to the mashed potatoes and had to sub veal broth for the beef. I added some frozen peas that I cooked first. My husband who is french says it tastes similar to hashis parmentier. This recipe also took over an hour to prepare instead of the 30 min stated in the recipe. Again, it wasn't a bad dish, but I think I will be able to find better things to do with my ground beef in the future.

Excellent and easy! Will definitely make again. In fact, next time I have a garden, I'll grow rhubarb just so I can make this again! YUMMY!
