Awesome & easy! I used frozen blueberries and followed the suggestion to toss them in flour before mixing them in the batter and they worked beautifully.

Way delicious! Won me a chili cook-off! Only real change I made was using canned green chilis instead of fresh. The saltiness provided by the bouillon was spot-on.

Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2010
For sure the most popular item at our party. I was almost embarrassed to admit how easy they were. Next time I make them I'm going to split them in half and do half chocolate & half white chocolate for the outer coating. Also, don't be afraid to make them small - they go along way!

Cinnamon Coffee Cake II

I made this using the original recipe but used 2 boxes of vanilla pudding because the store didn't have the right size in the butterscotch & i didn't feel like trying to do conversions. It was great & everyone loved it. Thanks for the recipe!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2009
This cornbread is great! It is super moist and a bit sweet. Perfect with honey on top. I followed the instructions added in the comments by the recipe's author but had to alter my baking time to be only about 25 minutes. Be careful not to overcook or you may lose the moistness which really makes this cornbread worth it. Very good!

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

They are tasty but flat... but I didn't think that was a big deal. I definitely agree that you should watch these carefully as to not overcook them. I had to bake them for about 9 minutes before pulling them out.

I thought the flavor was ok but getting the little buggers to form into the right shape was much harder than i anticipated. Maybe i deserve the three stars, not the recipe. still - good for chinese new year!

Boiled Bagels

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2009
I thought these were great! We tried the broil-boil-bake method & they were delicious. I think next time we're going to make fewer bagels but make them a bit bigger. I guess we're just used to bigger bagels! They're amazing straight out of the oven but are also good after toasting or reheating in the oven. I took 10 of this batch to work & they were gone quickly! Great recipe!

Chewy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2008
The recipe is good but next time I'm going to try a lower temperature or less time in the oven. These bake nicely but tend to overbake quickly... which gives you less of a chewy cookie & more of a crunchy cookie. Good flavor though - will try again!

German Apple Pancake

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2008
This pancake is tasty but I think that there is a bit too much butter in the recipe - it seemed really greasy. Next time I'll use less butter in the pan before baking it. Also, mine turned out a bit soggy - i did pull it out a couple minutes early because the edges were getting "done" but it seemed really mushy in the middle - still tasty.

Chocolate Covered Caramels

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2007
These caramels turned out delicious but are a lot of work. My advice is to be very careful when making the caramel - use a big sauce pan. When I was stirring the caramel it jumped out of the pan on to my hand and I have a huge burn there. Be careful! I follwed the advice of using the pastry brush to get the tops and found it very helpful. I used a toothpick to dip the caramels into the chocolate and then put them on wax paper, brushed the tops with the chocolate -much easeier than trying to get the whole thing covered. I also broke my chocolate up into two "batches". I melted about 2/3 of the chocolate and once it started to dry out a bit (i didn't use butter in the mix) I added the other 1/3 of the chocolate and it melted and became user-friendly once again. I also added a bit of sea salt to the top of my caramels and it tastes SO good. The recipe is delicious - just be careful of jumping caramel!!
