Ooey Gooey Breakfast Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2012
So simple and delicious! I used a square pyrex dish to bake them, then inverted them into an identical dish. Then I spread cream cheese icing over them and let it melt all over them. Awesome recipe! Next I'll be trying the cream trick mentioned in other reviews. And maybe some orange flavour in my icing. Yummmmm.

Poppy Seed Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2012
Delicious! I cut down on the onion a bit and it was still a bit strong for me, so next time I'll probably use about 2 teaspoons and see if that is more to my liking. Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe.

Beautiful Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2012
Delicious! I left off the onions, as I don't care for raw onions. I used a poppy seed dressing which I found on this site, and the salad was to die for. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

OMG these are so easy and so yummy! If in America, you might have to substitute graham crackers for digestives (unless you can find digestives in a British food store or the British section of Publix!).

Sticky Toffee Pudding

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2010
Yummmmmm! I drained the dates before pureeing (followed Jamie's recipe to the letter!) but the cake/pudding was a bit drier than I thought it should be. I'm certain this will be perfect if I don't drain the dates.

Pastitsio II

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2010
Delicious! OK mine probably wasn't authentic. The recipe is very forgiving in case you don't have some ingredients or make changes. I didn't have wine around so skipped that, and added cheddar to the bechamel to make it mornay sauce. Yummmm. It tasted even better the next day as reheated leftovers, if you can believe that! Also, this would be a good recipe to add 'hidden veg' ala Anabel Karmel (add to the meat sauce). Enjoy, this is a keeper! (PS you probalby don't need the butter called for in the meat sauce.)

Mom's Buttermilk Biscuits

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2008
Yummy! I'm a Southern girl living in England, so I had to try making my own biscuits since you can't buy them in cans or restaurants over here ;-). I ate these plain (I usually like jelly) and they were mouthwatering. Hubby devoured several, too. I did make changes suggested by elparsons w/ excellent results. I also had to use lard coz I couldn't find shortening. I recommend more salt (or use salted butter?). Next time I will use 2 tsp salt in the dough. Nevertheless they were excellent!

Mexican Tinga

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2007
I have tried this recipe several times, each time reducing the chipotles, and it's still too hot, even for my husband who loves very spicy foods. However it is tasty if you can stand the heat! I am making it again this week with half of a chipotle, so hopefully that will make it manageable.

General Tsao's Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2006
Way too much cornstarch. I should have read the reviews and backed off it. The flavor was great, but the consistency was way too sticky because of the cornstarch. Also, I just used frozen popcorn chicken from Costco; makes this recipe a snap.
