I love to cook and eat and so does my family. Since I'm getting older I TRY to keep things healthy BUT I also believe that sometimes you just gotta let the good times roll LOL!!!

My favorite things to cook..hmmm...I LOVE making any kind of comfort foods..and Baking has always been a favorite for me.
My cooking tragedies
Only one I can think of ....I was making a raspberry swirl cheesecake..didnt have sweetend condensed milk...found a recipee for swwetened condensed milk and I must have measured the pwdered sugar wrong...the whole cheesecake tasted like NOTHING BUT POWDERED MILK...blech...it looked beautiful..but was inedible!!!

Black Bean and Corn Salad II
My family LOVES this salad! Most of the time I make it exactly as the recipe states - sometimes I have to use canned corn occasionally I double up on avocado because we love avocado. Been using this recipe for a few years now . Its colorful and has great flavors!

Chili Seasoning Mix II
I started using this recipe a few years ago..It is wonderful as is...However I have a 6 year old that wont touch anything spicey so I have cut back the amount of crushed red pepper in this recipe...My whole family LOVES it. I recently tried to use a store bought packet and everyone COMPLAINED that the chili tasted funny and was icky LOL. Oh, I also leave out the flour :)

THESE ARE AWESOME!!! I've made 4 batches so far this summer(12 pint size jars)and they are so easy to make!! Great recipe!!!
