Bologna Salad Sandwich Spread I

I've been making this spread for 55 years now. And my Mom made it all her married years too. It was my Husbands favorite sandwich to take when we'd go fishing. I used Helmans Mayo and sweet pickle relish and just a dash of yellow mustard in mine....just as Mom did. Good eating!!!!

Slow Cooked Corned Beef for Sandwiches

Exceptional recipe! Only thing I do different is use butchers twin to tie the beef in three or four places. This keeps it from falling apart when you remove from cooker (slow or on stove top). Then, after cooled a bit, I remove string, place on sided-cookie sheet, cover with tin foil and STEP on it. YES, step on it. This flattens the beef and it will slice exactly like it was made in a deli. ENJOY.

Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Suggestion: Add to all ingredients, a portion of bag of Broccoli Slaw that is in most supper markets. Makes nice texture and also makes larger batch of salad.

Boston Baked Beans

I've been making homemade Boston Baked Beans for over 54 years. One addition we love is about a teaspoon of CURRY POWDER added while baking.

Busia's Polish Sausage

Always include Marjoram spice, along with lots of fresh, crushed black pepper. When hand mixing you should SEE the Marjoram flakes as well as the black pepper. After stuffing into casings, prick a couple holes every foot or so with a tooth pick. This alows the trapped air to escape.

Maria's Broccoli Rabe

This is the BEST way to prepare Broccoli Rabe. Some recipes call for adding a bit of the cooking water...but that makes it very bitter. I usually fry up hot Italian sausage links, then add them to the olive oil, garlic and Rabe....let simmer till done, add the cheese and eat with Italian or French bread.
