Maple Glazed Chicken with Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2011
Don't know HOW this can have so many rave reviews. For the price of pure maple syrup well, I's save it for PANCAKES! I mean it was edible but REALLY..it was no wheres near a response such as awesome, fantastic, delicious, a staple, or any of the above! SORRY! Just was not imressed with flavors at all.

Chewy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2011
These are VERY good. Crispy outside.. soft inside. Instead of rolling them in sugar, I sprinkled a little cinnamon on them before baking. Love the chewy softness of the inside. =)

10 Minute Zesty Salsa

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2011
Ok so I tried this recipe & I didn't care for this recipe too much. I didn't like the green chiles and I have never heard of putting olive oil in salsa. This recipe was just ok. I really love the Speedy Salsa recipe on here .. it's 5 stars and is the most delicious and addicting salsa on this site. I think I will stick to that recipe from now on. Kudos though to you as it wasn't terrible at all.. just different. =)

If I don't make this for gatherings on the weekends with friends...I was told I would NOT be allowed in the door! =D HAHA.. They only love me for the Mexican Casserole... DIP!

Fried Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2011
These came out excellent! I used large FRESH mozzarella balls..I DOUBLE dipped them in egg, breadcrumbs, & egg, breadcrumbs, again. Be sure to really let the egg absorb the breadcrumbs!! Place them in the freezer for a good 20 minutes and then toss them into a deep fryer. FABULOUS! Serve'em up with home made marinara and a good sprinkling of grated Parmesano Reggiano!

Speedy Homemade Salsa

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2011
EXCELLENT salsa! I doubled the recipe using 1/2 fire roasted tomatoes and 1/2 regular whole tomatoes. I chose to use only the ONE jalapeno for a MILD salsa since I don't like too much heat. I also added 1 tbsp of fresh squeezed lime juice. This is fabulously fresh & deliscious salsa recipe. Highly reccommend! =)

Bacon Wrapped Dates Stuffed with Blue Cheese

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2011
Outstandingly amazing with Manchego Cheese! Use Medjool dates! I stuffed mine with Manchego cheese and sliced almonds... wrapped them up in bacon and sprinkled brown sugar ALL over them. The Manchego cheese, almonds and brown sugar made ALL the difference in the taste with these! Gourmet entertaining appetizer!

Slow Cooker Lemon Garlic Chicken II

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
This came out excellent with modifications! The amount of seasonings in the recipe is not nearly enough. ( I DID LEAVE OUT THE SALT!) I sprinkled onion pwder on the chicken as well before browning. I added more oregano, garlic and pepper - didn't measure, just went by eye & to my liking. I added a 1/2 sweet onion, fresh basil, juiced one whole lemon, added one cup white wine & added about 3 tablespoons fresh parsley. I also used a cup of chicken broth AND a 1/2 teaspoon of chicken boullion for extra flavor. It came out PERFECT and was not salty AT ALL!! Great, GREAT flavor!! Served it over a brown rice mix. =) YUM!

Cheesy Zucchini Rounds

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2011
These were very good with some modifications. =) I cut the zuchini LONGTHWISE. Use MAPLE bacon instead of regular bacon and season with green onions and a dash of pepper!! THEN put a mix of cheddar & pepper-jack or regular Monterey Jack cheese! They truly turned out to be 5 STAR FAB, this way!

Simple Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2011
This is a good BASIC recipe. Seasonings are on target except for Cayenne pepper! Use 1/8th IF you like LESS HEAT! It's definitely got some BITE to it. The sour cream can also help with that though as well. I added red, green & yellow peppers, an extra 1/2 onion, as well as another can of dark red kidney beans... I mashed 1 can and left the other can of kidney beans whole for some texture in the chili and instead of water I used beef broth and left the salt out all together that the recipe called for. It turned out to be absolutley delish! =0)

Basil Chicken over Angel Hair

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2011
This was delicious! I added alot more fresh basil, more onion, 1 cup wine, an additional 1/8th teaspoon of hot pepper sauce and about 3 cups fresh chopped plum tomatoes, skins on. Next time I will boil tomatoes for 30 seconds & take skins off. Either way? Delicious. =)

Garlic Prime Rib

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2010
Delicious! I used a 5lb prime rib. Cooked in a 460 degree oven for 12 minutes, turned down to 400 for 8 minutes after that I then turned the oven down once more to 350 and cooked it 20 minutes per pound and then an additional 15 minutes because we like OUR prime rib cooked to medium... light pink in color! It was perfect and I made an AU JUS for dipping...I added 1 cup of beef broth to the pan and and put it over heat till all the brown bitscame loose from the pan. I then strained it. PEFECT! =)

Three Cheese Manicotti II

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
I made these last night and they were delicious! I added chopped fresh spinach, extra fresh basil and a little onion powder. AND since I didn't have time to make my own sauce I used ROMA'S jarred marinara. It's the BEST all natural bright red italian marinara made from plum tomatoes you can get in a jar!! A little more expensive but well worth it if you can find it. They are sold in Stop & Shops. =)

WOW! FANTASTIC! * BE SURE to ADD peppers LAST HOUR of cooking!!... otherwise too mushy!* I doubled the recipe so that I could put individual dinners together & freeze them. I threw in some snow peas and added an extra 5 tablespoons of soy sauce! Whole family loved it and my PICKY hubby agrees that THIS is a keeper! =)

Chicken Stuffed Chiles

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2010
Delicious!! BUT!...Take the seeds out first!! (Unless of course you don't mind callin 911 for the firetrucks to come out!)Taking the seeds out is time consuming so have patience! I also used poblano peppers because I just like them better than chile peppers and they needed to be scorched in the brolier much longer than 5 minutes...more like 1/2 hour with MY oven. I bought a 16 oz container of sour cream and mixed in 8oz of it with the chicken & cheese mixture...also added some sauteed fresh garlic. Will make this again for sure! =)

Catherine's Spicy Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2009
Absolutely delicious! I followed the recipe and just added extra sour cream and another can of kidney beans. Sprinkled cheddar on top after I poured it into our bowls and that just made it all the more delicious. As they say, cheese makes everything taste better!
