Barbecued Beef

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2006
Mmm Mmm Mmm! I have never made BBQ Beef before. I was looking for a recipe for my parent's 35th wedding anniversary party. I thought...what the heck. I made it the day before and just reheated it. Well let's just say...I couldn't even have licked the crock pot clean! I underestimated how much I needed, that's for sure! Thanks for such a yummy recipe!

Erica's Delicious Slow Cooker Beef Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2006
This was very bland. I took the suggestions of others, but it was still not good. My husband and my son went to the kitchen for a peanut butter sandwich. Will not make this again.

This is fantastic! I made it just like the recipe called. I made it for Christmas breakfast and my family went nuts for it. I took the extra with me to my parent's house and they went crazy over it as well. Thanks for a great breakfast recipe!

Incredibly Easy Chicken and Noodles

Reviewed: May 11, 2007
This was yummy! I didn't have everything that this called for, but it turned out great! I had more cream of mushroom soup than cream of chicken soup, so I reversed it. I didn't have frozen noodles, so I used dry egg noodles. I also added peas and carrots to the mix for some color. It was delicious! My 3 year old who won't touch chicken, ate it all up! My 1 year old and husband loved it too! Thanks for a great recipe!

Mint Tea Punch

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2007
Made this for a spa night and everyone raved over it. It was a HUGE hit! It's very refreshing. When you look at the bowl you think it's a pineapple juice/orange juice punch. But then take a drink and surprise! :) Thanks for a good recipe! I'll make again and again...especially during the summer!

This is very good and it was so easy to make! My 2 year old & 4 year old loved it! :) Funny you should mention the Strawberry Festival...I live in Sidney, OH. :) We went to Fulton Farms yesterday and picked a gallon of strawberries! Now I'm trying to figure out what to do with them all. This morning Strawberry Coffee Cake. Tonight...Strawberry Pie! I'm sure they won't go to waste. Thanks for a yummy recipe!

Strawberry Pie II

This is AMAZING! I took the suggestion of someone else and brushed my crust with melted chocolate (let cool/harden before you add the filling) and it was delicious! It disappeared FAST. I took some to my parents and my mom said it was the BEST pie she has EVER had! This is a keeper!

Chicken Pot Pie II

DELICIOUS!! We had turkey for Christmas and I had leftovers so I used turkey instead of chicken and it was still AWESOME! Thanks for another great recipe! When I saw the name I knew it would be good. :) It was exactly what I was hoping it would be...the whole family ate it and that doesn't usually happen!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
I wish we liked this because it sounded really good. The beer gave it a terrible flavor. We tolerated it for dinner but then it sat in the fridge... :( Maybe I'll try it again without the beer because I think the flavor wouldn't be as "yeasty".

Acapulco Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2009
YUM, YUM, YUM! I took parts of someone elses suggestion. :) I added salsa & water to make a sauce. I did not use as many jalapenos as suggested and cut back on the hot sauce because we like our food hot, but not that hot. And we have small children that won't eat really hot food. They did like this though! I made this with Mexican Rice III by ALANSMOM (which is DELICIOUS!!!) and it was GREAT! My kids ate it with cheese quesadillas, my husband made his into a quesadilla and I ate mine with the rice rolled up in a tortilla. I was apprehensive about all the chili powder, but it is delicious! If you are thinking twice...JUST TRY IT!!! I LOVE that it is healthy too! This will be a frequent meal in our house! Thank You Lorrie!!

Amish Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
Made this for Christmas Brunch today! This is absolutely DELICIOUS! HUGE hit! I made two small changes: I shredded my own potatoes in my food processor...(preservative free that way...and much tastier!) And I used a little less Swiss cheese and a little more cheddar (personal preference). I will keep this recipe and make it over and over. I also took the suggestion of cooking the bacon alone and crumbling, then adding the onion to a little bacon grease and then cooked them alone. I think maybe next time I will saute some green pepper and mushrooms with the onion and add those in. Wonderful! Thanks for this recipe!

Hearty Vegetable Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2010
Absolutely delicious! Big hit! I made my own sauce...got the recipe from this site. Spaghetti Sauce II by Melinda Connery. I also added extra vegetables...shredded zucchini and shredded carrot. Then I added a package of frozen chopped spinach (thawed & drained, of course) to the ricotta mixture. It was awesome! I'm actually having it for lunch right now...Yum! Thanks for a great recipe for someone who had no idea how to make a good lasagna! :)

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2010
I have been making these for years! For all those people who say they are terrible...you are CRAZY! You must have used a mixer...that will make them turn out like cake! Mix by hand and they should be a thicker batter. My recipe calls for slightly different measurements, but very close. These are the BEST brownies I have ever made and I don't ever buy them in a box! Try these, don't use a mixer, use good old fashioned elbow grease! It's not that difficult to mix together anyway. Enjoy!!!
