About this Cook
I guess I need to update my profile. I just recently got married to my loving boyfriend of over 8 years in october 09. I guess even tho we've been together for so long, we are now considered newly weds! We just bought our first home, out in the country, and are loving it! Ive lived in Indiana my entire life. I love living out in the country and I like to do anything fun like going to parks, camping, fishing, four wheeling, etc. And of course I love to cook! Im a HUGE animal lover and we have 2 cats and 1 dog. They are our kids for now! I have been coming to allrecipes for a few years now and just love all the different recipes. I can say from everything that Ive made from here, Ive got a pretty extensive library of favorite foods now! Almost every other day Im looking in my cookbooks and on the internet for new ideas to make that week. Thanks to everyone for all your great recipes you've posted!
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook almost anything except Im not a big fan of baking. I would have to say I love making new pasta and chicken dishes. Im also a fanatic over buffalo wings! So I love new chicken wing recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I dont know if I have any traditions. But I do know that my mother is a great cook and she is the one that taught me. I remember when I was really little and I would always make tuna salad. The good kind with all the extra ingredients in it like relish, mayo, mustard, eggs, onion, and celery. I would say I was about 5 or 6 years old then.
My cooking triumphs
If it turned out to be good then thats a triumph for me!
My cooking tragedies
I havent had any tragedies lately that I can think of. The one thing I can think of is a few years ago when I went on a kick to try to make breads and pizza doughs. None of them turned out good at all. They was rubbery or didnt rise or something.

Chinese Noodle Chicken
This was really good. I made this as a side dish and left out the chicken. I did use angel hair pasta and I made my own teriyaki sauce to use. It was a great side dish served along with a asian/chinese meal. It also would be good adding in some scrambled eggs. Thanks for this great recipe! I will for sure make again!

PHILADELPHIA Summer Potato Salad
This was an interesting potato salad using cooking creme. But I didn't think the flavor was there. The cooking creme was a little too prominent in this. I felt it needed to be spruced up quite a bit with extra veggies like onion and bell peppers, as well as some extra seasonings like some fresh dill or fresh parsley. Even though adding in some extra veggies and seasonings made it better, it still wasn't a favorite. Overall it was a decent potato salad and I enjoyed trying it. I always like new ideas using cooking creme! UPDATE: Since I had leftovers of this, I didn't want to throw it all out. So I decided to spruce it up to make it taste better. I added in more extra veggies like onion, bell pepper and celery. More seasonings like onion and garlic powder, italian seasoning, and fresh parsley. I also crumbled in some bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, and about 1/2 cup of ranch dressing. Thats a lot of ingredients, but they are normally what we put in our potato salads and it did help the leftovers to be very good so that we didn't waste them. So if you don't like the original recipe, there's still hope of sprucing it up to make it a better tasting potato salad so that you won't have to waste it!

Fat Free Tartar Sauce
This was surprisingly good! I normally dislike certain condiments that are fat free, they need to be at least lite for me to like. This with the fat free mayo was great! I did like the taste better using lite mayo in this. But it still tasted good with the fat free as well. I did add just a touch more relish and a dash of dill seasoning. This has the zip and tang that I like out of my tartar sauces. Thanks for this great recipe!
