Marinated Veggies

This was delicious!! I made just a couple tweaks - used less sodium soy sauce, juice from 1/2 a lemon and used a teaspoon of minced garlic. Put the veg & marinade in a gallon ziplock bag and marinated for about five hours. Removed the veg from the marinade and grilled in a foil grill pan. I brought two bags of this to a BBQ at a friend's house and everyone seemed to like it. I couldn't have been happier with this recipe! Will DEFINITELY be making this again!!

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

The pork was good - loved how it just fell apart. The au jus was a little salty for my taste, even though I used lower sodium soy sauce. Next time, I'll try using lower sodium soup mix. Or maybe only a half of the package. Served with mashed potatoes and green beans. Will make again.

Bratwurst Potato Skillet

This was just okay. I don't like peppers, so I omitted them and added sliced mushrooms. I felt like there wasn't a whole lot of flavor to this, and was a little salty for my liking. If I make this again, I think I'll add carrots and make sure I use low sodium soy sauce.

Party Punch IV

I made this for a party this weekend - turned out wonderfully! I had to keep reminding the ladies at the party that it had alcohol in it - no one could even tell. I received a bunch of compliments on it. I will DEFINITELY be making this again.

Louisiana Shrimp Casserole

This was entirely too rich and seemed very bland to me. I, also, used cream of mushroom soup, rather than cream of shrimp. I will not be making this dish again. Sorry.

Italian Breaded Pork Chops

This was, perhaps, the best pork chop dish I've ever had! I made a couple changes, based on what other reviewers suggested. I first covered my chops in whole wheat flour mixed with some Italian Seasoning. Then dredged through the egg mixture. However, I didn't have any bread crumbs, so I crushed up some seasoned croutons and dredged the chops through them. I covered them in the egg and crouton/crumb mixtures a second time. Followed the rest of the instructions from this point out.

Parmesan Chicken

This was very tasty. I had the heat too high when I browned the chicken, so it was a bit MORE than brown, but it was STILL good. I will definitely make this again - and hopefully next time, I'll turn the heat down a bit. :-)

Orzo Alfredo

I thought this was pretty bland...And that's a lot, coming from me. I'm the type of person that prefers "beige" food, so I thought this would be right up my alley. It definitely was not. I did use fresgly grated Parmesan, perhaps that made it more bland (???)...At any rate, I added some Italian Seasoning and a bit of salt. It was edible, just not something I'll probably make again.

Port And Mushroom Sauce Chicken

LOVED this!!! Followed the suggestions of some others...Pounded my chix breasts to about 1/2 inch thick. Probably tripled the mushrooms (Used a 1 pound pkg of fresh shrooms), doubled the sauce ingredients and added 1/2 cup of heavy cream to the sauce at the end. I let that thicken up a bit and it still wasn't quite the consistency I wanted, so I used approx a tablespoon or 2 of cornstarch mixed with just enough water to make it not clump, and stirred that into the sauce til it reached the consistency that I wanted. VERY tasty! Will pass it on to friends and will DEFINITELY make it again!

Baked Mushroom Thighs

I loved this recipe. I didn't have onion powder, so I used garlic powder, instead. And I used Italian seasoned breadcrumbs. I thought this was SO tasty.

Lazygirl's Ground Turkey Stroganoff

I thought this was very tasty. I used half a large onion and an 8oz package of mushrooms, which I sliced. I added these with the ground turkey and sauteed until tender. I also added 1/3 cup of sour cream and eliminated the water. I cooked it for a good ten minutes after it was totally assembled to cook off some of the water. All in all, a good recipe, though.

Cheese Sauce Over Cauliflower

I thought this sauce was great. My husband and I love the Loaded Fries at Connie's Pizza. I've tried numbers of times to reproduce this with premade cheese (CheezWhiz, Nacho cheese sauce) and none have tasted as good as I'd hoped. I gave it a shot with this sauce and it was fantastic! I added some salt to the recipe, but otherwise, I made it as called for. Loved it!!!
