I made this twice. I used a combination of the recommended changes. I used a deep dish pie plate - 2 lb. chicken - 1 cup carrots - 1 cup celery - 1 cup potato - cooked them in chicken broth - added 1 clove garlic to the butter and onion (used 1/2 cup onion and little more butter), after adding the flour, milk (used 1 cup milk), salt, and pepper - also added a little poultry seasoning and chicken base - left out celery seed and chicken broth and added a can of cream of chicken soup - this made and very thick mixture to to pour over the top of the chicken. Cooked at 350 degrees for 45 minutes and it was great.
