About this Cook
I have lived in Asia, America and Europe. With that said, the dishes I make vary a lot. I have two small boys who are somewhat picky eaters, so I get a thrill whenever I find a recipe that they like.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy cooking whatever my family and friends enjoy eating. It also varies on the cravings I get or on what I find at the farmer's market.
My cooking triumphs
Finding a chicken nugget recipe to compete with McDonald's for my kids and also finding a pancake recipe that my boys prefer over restaurant or packaged mix ones.

Hasselback Potatoes
Excellent in every aspect. I used a bamboo skewer through the potato to stop the knife from cutting all the way through. Used what I had on hand: olive oil, coarse salt, freshly ground black pepper, freshly grated parmesan cheese, chopped parsely and packaged bread crumbs.

Cassava Cake
Cut into 4 inch logs, score the tough skin lengthwise every inch or so, peel off sections between the score lines, cut each log into halves lenthwise and remove the tough center veins. Process the clean pieces in a juicer to remove the liquid and keep about 2 cups of the fine paste to use in the recipe. The texture is more like bread pudding and is rather gummy. The flavor is excellent though.

Never Fail Chocolate Chip Cookies
Terrific NO FAIL recipe; added extra 1/2 cup flour so they won´t flatten so much because I didn´t chill the dough first, due to time restraint. The recipe made 44 cookies, each about 3 inches diameter after baking.
