The first time I made it I browned the flour and the gravy came out very bad. After I threw it out I made it again and this time didn't brown the flour. Gravy came out perfect.

These came out great! The only thing I changed because of the suggestions of the other reviewers was to use just 1 tsp of vanilla and 1 tsp of almond extract. Yummy!
