Kyle's Favorite Beef Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2009
Good recipe! The tips with the flour and corn starch definitely helped make it thick and substantial. I used homemade beef stock that I had frozen instead of the water and onion soup mix. I chopped my onions and mushrooms into smaller pieces and added more wine than was called for. I added some greens that I had on hand, as well as a bay leaf. All in all it was hearty, healthy, tasty meal!

Very yummy- I added some garlic and skipped the zest altogethr. Still had a nice lemon flavor with just the juice. Served it over soba noodles.

Spinach and Feta Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2008
This was a hit with the whole family! The flavors were great, and the burgers were kept nice and moist from the spinach- a nice change from how turkey sometimes turns out.

Chocolate Cappuccino Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2008
Very Delicious! I made this for a party and people are still talking about it... Baked it in a water bath, and for a little longer than the recipe called for.

Applesauce Pork Loin

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2008
Delicious! The juices at 160 degrees were still pretty red though so I cooked it longer until it was about 180 degrees. Definitely something healthy Ill make again!

Supreme Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2007
Simple and delicious! I found that the pork was cooked through before my thermometer reached 160- so I could have cut out some extra cooking time I added. I will definitely be making this again!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2007
The best pie I have ever had! Delicious and rich! I made some of my own modifications as well- added nutmeg and about a teaspoon of vanilla, and I didnt pour the syrup over the crust. Instead, I mixed the apples up with it and poured it all inside for a nice gooey and juicy twist. Great recipe!

Mustard Crusted Tilapia

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2007
This was a hit! I doubled the paste to get a thicker cover, and I also added some white cooking wine. Next time, I will broil the fish for a few minutes to try to crisp up the "crust". I already have a request for this fish for next week!

Cajun Style Baked Sweet Potato

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2007
I enjoyed this recipe, and my boyfriend loved it! I did find, though, that it took way over an hour to cook them through when they were in halves. Next time, I will definitely be cutting them into smaller pieces. Nice spicy twist!

Broccoli Chicken Casserole IV

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2007
My family and I enjoyed this recipe. I found it simple but tasty. After reading the other reviews, I decided to make a few changes myself. I used fresh broccoli, and the prepackaged, precooked roast chicken- which was tastier and more moist than I had expected. I also used a lot more of the broccoli for a more veggie packed meal. This was a very good short-cut friendly kind of recipe.
