I have used this recipe a few times now and love it! Last night, however, I could relate to those of you who have experienced runny frosting. I made this frosting ahead of time, and added an extra 1/4 cup butter so there would be more frosting in the end. I refrigerated it for one day. I let it soften a few minutes before mixing it again in the mixer. It was runny so I tried adding extra sugar... no luck. My advice is: 1. Make this in a room temperature area. If it seems warm at all, be careful of the temperature of your ingredients. 2. Follow the recipe. If you need more frosting, double the recipe, not just ingredients.
