Baked Salmon II

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2013
I LOVE salmon, but this was my first time ever making it since my husband hates fish. It was amazing - maybe the best salmon I've ever had! I did 3 Tbl. olive oil and 1 Tbl. melted butter, and cut back the salt, but otherwise followed the ingredients. I didn't marinate it, just put the fish in a 9x13, covered with the mix, covered with foil and baked 35 minutes at 375, then uncovered and broiled 3 minutes. My kids loved it and asked for seconds.

Pork Chops with Onions and Apples

Reviewed: May 2, 2012
Soooo good!!! All 3 of my kids (4, 6, and 8 years old) loved them, and so did my husband and I. Will definitely make again! The only change I made was that I only used one onion, and I cooked the pork chops in a pan on the stove vs. grilling.

Soooo good!! My whole family loved it (kids are 3, 5 and 7). Only changes I made were no pecans and no raisins, then I added more celery and more grapes. Mmmmm!

Oh. My. Gosh. SOOOOOOOO good! Will definitely make again! I did follow other's suggestions to make real whipped cream with a little sugar and vanilla, instead of using cool whip.

Smooth and Creamy Peanut Butter Pie

Very good! My husband and I both loved it! But I made a couple changes per suggestions here. 8oz. cream cheese, and 1 c. regular sugar. And I made my own chocolate graham cracker crust.

Chocolate Ganache

Simple and yummy! I also brought the cream just to a boil and poured over the chocolate, let it sit for a minute and then whisked it.

Little Mickey's Favorite Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2009
This was really good, but not my favorite ever. But I think it's because I made a few changes to the recipe. Next time I'll follow the recipe (minus the cinnamon in the crust!) and I think it'll turn out perfectly! My husband loved it, though!

Overnight Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
Oh my gosh! This was SO good!! I made two of these last night and sent one to work with my husband, and brought one to my MOPS group. Both were gone in minutes and I got rave reviews from everyone. I will definitely be making this again. It might even replace the cinnamon rolls I make every Christmas morning.

Easy Apple Cinnamon Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2009
Yummy! I made the changes suggested by others, though - more milk, split the sugar so it was half white, half brown sugar, substituted applesauce for oil, and doubled the cinnamon. They were a little dry, but I think I needed to put in more apple. Overall very good, though!

Scrumptious Strawberry Shortcake

I made this for Mother's Day and my entire family looooved it! I took the advice of others and left out the cream of tartar, and also sprinkled sugar on the tops before baking.

I'm not a huge pork chop fan, but I loved these! So did my husband and 3 little kids. I did 1/2 c. ketchup and 1/2 c. BBQ sauce, and added one more Tbs. of brown sugar. YUM!

Sandy's Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2009
Very, very good, and super easy! My husband and 5 year old daughter loved it! My younger boys weren't quite so sure about it, but they're super picky. I made this with tuna instead of chicken, added some pepper and garlic salt, and did one can of Cream of Chicken and one Cream of Mushroom. Covered with foil the first 30 minutes, then stirred and baked an add'l 10 minutes uncovered. Will definitely make this again!

Deep Dish Brownies

Made this last night for 10 people and everyone loved them! I made the same changes mentioned in the reviews (less egg, no baking powder, more cocoa), and they came out perfect. Took about 50 minutes to cook a double batch of them in a 9x13 pan.

I made this for Christmas using some of the suggestions made - added caramel sauce, used whipping cream in the pudding mixture, and used French Vanilla cool whip vs. regular. Also added the Heath bar chips. YUM!!!!

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2007
I used this recipe to cook my very first turkey (a 25lber!) this year when I hosted Thanksgiving for my family. It was awesome!! Everyone raved about it. Only thing I did differently was used one can of chicken broth in place of 2 of the cups of water, and I used fresh diced onion instead of the dried, and put the rest of the onion in the turkey. Yum, yum, yum!!
