Cranberry Sauce Extraordinaire

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2001
This is a great recipe and adds personality to something most people are used to getting out of a can. I did have a bunch leftover (a little goes a long way), but I rubbed it over a pork roast and put it in my slow cooker for 8-10 hours. Made a nice dinner, and I used up the cranberry sauce! Thanks!

Herbed Pork and Apples

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2001
Oh, wow. What a WONDERFUL recipe! I used tenderloin, and it came out spoon tender. I used 3 teaspoons of Poultry Seasoning instead of the ones listed, and, yes, I used cheap maple syrup, but it was still fantastic! (I also used cornstarch to thicken the gravy, instead of boiling it down -- worked great!) I served it with buttered noodles and asparagus. I can't wait to make it again. Thank you SOOOO much!

Mexican Layered Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2001
I substituted a layer of salsa instead of tomatoes and only used 1/2 of taco seasoning, too. It was well received and good, and I'll probably make again. I did make it ahead (using the lime juice in the guacamole!), and the leftovers (very little!) were still good. Thanks.

Best Ever Chocolate Chip Cookies II

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2001
Good standard recipe. I'd just as soon use the recipe on the bag of chips, though. Nice flavor and my 7 year old loved them (that's what it's all about, isn't it?). Thanks.

Cajun Barbecued Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2001
Good recipe. Chicken was tender and presented well. 2 year old liked it, 7 year old hated it (too spicy). Husband LOVED it, and we're looking forward to the leftovers. Served with JP's biscuits (on website) -- replaced salt in biscuit recipe with the cajun seasoning, too. Thanks for a great meal!

Quick and Easy Monkey Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2001
Yum. Trust the recipe. First time, I bought a bag of 36 rolls (3 lbs), making 1 1/2 lbs 18 rolls. Well, 9 rolls on the bottom didn't look like enough, so I changed it to 12 for each layer. Was okay, but dry. Next time, 9 rolls allowed for stuff to be more gooey. Thanks for a great (but easy) recipe!

Cinnamon Swirl Bundt Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2001
This, although easy to make, was nothing really stellar - I was a little disappointed (no one asked for the recipe). I didn't do anything to reduce fat and it was dry - probably won't make again. Sorry.

Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2001
I make this over and over again. In season, I do substitute strawberries for the cranberries, toasted pecans for the almonds. If I have it on hand, I use raspberry vinegar for the wine vinegar.

Cream Puff Cake

How AWESOME this recipe is!!!! Yum! I made it for a church social, and it was the first to go! Kids and grown-ups alike liked it. I can't wait to try variations... (strawberry/banana? chocolate pudding? coconut creme?). EVERYONE who tried it asked for the recipe. Thank you, thank you!

Light, but crispy. My son and his friend really loved them this afternoon. Don't be scared of the orange juice (as I was) - you can't tell! Thanks for a good basic recipe!

Yummy cookies - my mother-in-law was transported to her youth! A little too cake-like for my taste, but the recipe said that! I'll be sure to make them when she visits. Thanks!

Aussie Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2001
I thought this was wonderful - As I served it I realized how heart-unhealthy it might be with all of the cheese...but it was yummy and I'll be using the mustard sauce separately to grill, etc. Made one without mushrooms for my 7 year old, who liked it ... Thanks!

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Yum! I used the thighs (skin removed) and it came out great! I did run out of basting sauce before the cooking was done and wound up using pan drippings instead - next time I'll 1 1/2 times the sauce. Thanks!

Turtle Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2001
Yum, Yum! I made this for a pie/cake auction and it sold for over $20.00. Is truly going to be a standard recipe - Thanks! I'd recommend that you bake the cheese cake on the cookie sheet, too (not just baking the crust), as something (not cake - maybe butter or caramel?) dripped to the bottom of the oven. Also, I greased and wax papered (and greased again) the bottom of the springform pan; next time I'll be sure to wax paper the sides, too - the caramel got pretty gooey. But YUMMMMMMMM! Thanks again for a terrific recipe!
